It's painful to walk or do anything but lie flat on the ground. This isn't normal soreness, this is extreme sharp pain that needs immediate attention. This Chiropractor's practice has grown too large to treat you in an emergency. If you are looking for a new Chiropractor, I'd have to steer you away from Active Release & Chiropractic Center. Although Dr. Criscuolo says he can't make time, I'm sure there are other Chiropractors who would make the time to see a long time patient in such extreme pain!

I had been to other chiropractors before since I was about 13, but I had NEVER been physically evaluated like that before. Dr. Veera walked me through every step of the way to help me understand what my issues were and how she was going to help me fix them. That immediately allowed me to build trust. It amazes me how knowledgeable both Doctor John and Doctor Veera are about every fine detail of the body. I'm not just talking about your average "crack crack" and leave. These doctors have worked with a range of people from some of the best athletes in the world, to overweight people with herniated discs! The entire staff is so warm and friendly, I feel like I'm walking into a home when I go for a visit. The visits are always the right amount of time, I never feel rushed or like I wasted my time coming down. I now live in Montclair, about 1 hour 15 minutes from the office. If I am down for a weekend, Dr. Veera has seen me on friday nights and 9am Saturday morning. She even worked on my issues for 45 minutes a clip because she knew I can only come down so often! I have never met a person so passionate about what they do! I really feel a change in my body when I go for a few visits in a row, suggested by the docs. Having Optimum Health Chiropractic in my life has given me the gift of health. I have referred ALL of my friends and family to go for a visit and leave feeling 110% satisfied. My suggestion would be- be vocal! Let your doctor know what is actually bothering you and help them help you. Thank you Optimum Health for you all that you do.

From a patient access perspective, one of the things I love about this place is the cleanliness and modern feel of the office. No old ratty equipment, no out-of-date posters on the wall, and none of those other things we've all seen that admittedly force you to doubt a place when you're entrusting your health and body to them. I also love the staff's flexibility and ease of making an appointment. I don't think they've EVER failed to accommodate a specific appointment time for me, and there is virtually NEVER a wait if you show up at your scheduled time. If you're in a lot of pain and need immediate attention, they will also squeeze you in on short notice. You could practically walk into this place and be seen without a wait. Now onto Dr. Stiso. Super friendly, knowledgeable guy who really knows his stuff. Most recently I was treated over several weeks for a strained hip flexor that seemed to also have pinched a nerve due to the inflammation. After the initial injury, I was in so much pain I could barely walk. On my first visit, Dr. Stiso adjusted my pelvis and treated me immediately with laser therapy. He also provided me very clear direction on what I could and could not re: physical exercise, along with a schedule for icing the area. Even after two days, I began to noticeably improve. After a week, I was able to walk with no issue and the pain was gone. I continued to come in for adjustments to the hip area and was told I could gradually get back into the gym. Now I'm back to normal and feeling 1000% better. Life saver! As long as this practice remains in business, I will choose Stiso over any other chiropractor in the area.
