I was referred by my orthopedist for back issues. Is it strange that my referring Dr is on the staff at Advanced Wellness? I already have a good Physical Therapy facility so no need for PT at AW. I signed up for Acupuncture at AW. This is a new experience for me. The Acupuncturist was Dr. Hui Yang. She answered my questions in a cordial yet professional fashion. She was busy but not overbooked. I did find it difficult to make appointments. This led me to believe that once a patient finds a schedule to their liking, stick to that schedule because if you miss an appt. you might not get back into your groove. She is kind and compassionate, responding to your needs at each appointment and catering the treatment to what will help the most. I have been a patient on and off at Advanced Wellness since November 2008. The staff has changed from the beginning, but all are exceptional. In working with the doctors and staff, my range of motion has significantly improved. Insurance: When I was a a vehicular accident, treatment was provided and submitted to my insurance company. For all other treatments, it is the subscriber's responsibility to submit medical claims. It took some time for me to write this review. How can someone find the words to describe how happy I am with Advanced Wellness in just a few words? I was in severe pain last Monday that I could barely walk. I got an appointment that evening and my therapy started right away. I walked out with much less pain. Was back the next day with an appointment with Tim who gave me trigger point injections. The staff is so personable and warm. Might I add efficient too. Everyone greets you like you are family. I've been to other physical therapists and they are impersonal and complacent. With further treatment I hope to make a full recovery.
