When I first changed my Dr to Forward I was excited, it felt like a great new model for my primary care provider. It was easy and it felt like they really focused on preventative care. Unfortunately the quality has really decreased over time. They would make me repeat requests through different parts of their app to get care. They started sending my medication to the wrong pharmacies, which in a few instances lead to negative health outcomes for me. Because they want to be totally digital they don't have anyone staffed in their office. So if you need assistance you have to walk around the office looking for someone to talk to. I finally decided to end my membership when I waited for an hour to be seen for routine lab work. no one came to get me and there was nobody to talk to, they saw a dozen patients in the time that I was waiting there. I really wanted to like Forward, unfortunately, after being a member for two years, I've had to cancel my membership and go to a doctor values me in my time. read more

The baseline visit was the most comprehensive healthcare checkup I have ever had. I like having all components of my healthcare under one umbrella. The convenience of having labs done with results almost immediately, rather than going to another location, and having to make another couple of appointments, was a big plus. I also really liked my doctor (Francois Dufresne). I don't enjoy medical appointments in general, so the one shop stopping aspect of Forward is very appealing to me. Time will tell if Forward lives up to the high expectations I have set for it, but so far, I am confident it will. read more

This is not what medical care should be. To pay this money every month to be assigned a Project Manager - who really doesn't project manage. I don't want a GP wasting my time in an office to tell me they will make an appointment for you. I thought ALL my specialties would be located in that office. Someone gets back to you in a few minutes if you have questions. I signed you at the beginning of COVID and they went out of their way to hello me even though I had not done the initial visit yet. I have been a member since December 2022 and I am so glad that I made the decision to join. I have received consistent professional and efficient medical care during the course of my membership. I feel validated when I present my concerns and receive prompt service. While the fee may be a bit high due to the current economic climate, it is worth every penny. Just had my first Forward doctor's visit and I am very impressed. While the space itself is kind of sterile looking, everything you use is beyond high tech and you learn a lot about your health. The doctor is very thorough with going over your health in detail and steps to keep you at your best health. 23 and me is included with your membership to help deep dive further into your health! I'm very critical of the US health care system. I believe the system should be far and away better than it is given the massive amount of wealth we have here. I chose to do Forward on a whim because I'm getting older and more attentive of my health. I also wanted to try out the concept even if it does come at a cost. I had my "baseline" exam last Friday and didn't know quite what to expect. From the moment I walked in the door it felt different than any office I've visited before. You sign in and are brought into your room to change. Then you are guided through the full body scan which can detect several of your vitals. From there you'll have some blood drawn ahead of your meeting with the doctor. It was painless. Once the results were ready Dr. Singh came in and really just asked what my health concerns were. After that, all the blood work had been done and data was available to view on the big screen. Her and I thoroughly went through just about every item that was tested to determine my baseline health. After that we then discussed our plan of action moving forward to bring everything in a healthier range. It was easy and quite informative. That was the process, but here is what I really like about it. I've noticed nowadays that when you go to your PCP they want to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Recently, I've gone to PCP visits where they had no idea why I was even there and really never addressed my main concern. This experience was quite the opposite. Dr. Singh was very attentive and addressed every one of my questions. She could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable! Overall, I felt very comfortable when I left and excited to get my health back in order through this process. The best part is that everything we discussed is in the smartphone app so you can always reference your game plan or let them know if you have an illness or injury that you'd like to address. The focus is on prevention rather than reaction through 21st century technology. What a novel concept! This is how health care should be. read more

The only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is that a few of the frills were lacking such as the infrared scanner for finding veins which I never got the chance to see and the quality of the clothes I was given to change into (an oversized t-shirt and oversized gym shorts). The frills are nice as a customer, especially at that price point. That said... Forward is the best! Still worth the money and the commute in to the city. So many positives... but in the interest of time, you really feel like you have a team behind you. Before I returned home I had a care plan and referrals within the app. They proactively check in with me, and respond almost instantaneously when needed. The most impressive part, however, was Dr. Michelle Graziano. She is a wonderful, caring human being who takes the time to listen and understand your health concerns. The clipboard doctors usually scribble away on has been replaced by an automated touch screen which only augments the excellent care you'll get at Forward. I honestly have never felt so comfortable with a doctor's office. If you're considering it... go Forward. You'll be glad you did. read more

A painful review to write, because I absolutely loved my physician from Forward. Nothing in the actual IN-PERSON experience at 555 Madison or the NoMad location was ever bad at all. I feel horribly for the wonderful physicians who work for this soulless, ghoulish, bot-like, subscription based "concierge" business based out of California. I finally fired this absolutely inept organization, solely because their outsourced "care team" is a cold, bot-like, disorganized, completely patient UN-centered group of likely recent 20-something Silicon Valley business school freshly-minted MBAs who don't know the first thing about patient management and healthcare management. I was patient and gave them many, many chances to stop bungling basic, important items relating to timely, patient-centric care. They failed at every turn. (And I have all the chats screen-saved if anyone wants the receipts). Their bot-like, outsourced "care team" doesn't communicate with the excellent physicians at 555 Madison. They also have no way of communicating with outside orgs except if you pester them for days to "fax" (hello, 1993!) your basic medical records to specialists whom you've had to sort and organize on your own due to their ineptitude at follow up. They also don't follow up on important, time-critical items that need time-sensitive follow up like timely scheduling of referrals to specialists. In addition, the "on-call" people 24/7 are NPs who only review charts in a cursory manner before giving a diagnosis that somehow doesn't get back to your actual primary physician at 555 Madison. In short, the entire ecosphere in which this BUSINESS VENTURE is built upon is designed to discourage patients who actually need timely care from getting it. I wasted hours of my day asking for a simple "permission" to come in to take a flu shot earlier due to a schedule change in my own schedule. No one on site checked the bot messages. The bots don't call anyone. The bots just "reach out and circle back..." and whatever California lingo they want to use that is ineffective nonsense that means they're deflecting and hope that you'll go away. I was one of their first paid subscribers in NYC. When I wrote in to cancel tonight, they didn't even ATTEMPT to retain my "business" as a patient. You know why? I actually ask them to do their jobs. I've had numerous rude, insensitive, snarky, clearly-written-by-a-smirking-20-something-MBA-grad responses from their "care team." I could've invested the funds I paid to Forward, gone to a teledoc, visited a random CITYMD, or gotten vaccines and immunizations at CVS with much better and easier communication. Sadly, I will now lose the outstanding physician I had. I hope he opens up a real concierge practice of his own, as I would definitely become a patient if it were free of the Silicon Valley Bots. Forward Health services was just the medical service I was looking for. Attentive, knowledgeable, compassionate. Dr. Pooja Singh, Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Graziano have all taken care of me. Dr. Singh is my primary and the first time I visited, I felt she truly listened to me. She spent a lot of time going over my blood work and the other medical markers - such as weight, blood pressure, sleep, etc. She gave me great advice and I really like having the app on my phone to go over what she recommended. So far, I've lost 25 lbs, blood pressure has improved to normal, and blood sugar has gone down. I really feel the amount of money I have spent in this group is well worth it. And I am not a rich person. I highly recommend Forward. read more

I was so incredibly excited to visit for the first time and have this quality time promised with a doctor - to listen, learn and plan a more healthful future! That is not what occurred. The dr. does spend time with you, but first crams you in clothes that don't fit to sit uncomfortably in a sterile room and wait - no different than any other doctors office, but even a gown is better than what I experienced w/ used gym clothes (yes they were clean). I found the technology intriguing, but what it did is made for a complex discussion and checklist, but ZERO customization. It was more clinical than historic doctors experiences and had NOTHING to provide in way of environmental factors, mental health or general state of mind. I provided feedback and it went to a black hole with a "thank you for your feedback" manual reply. The solution to everything was "we have pill for that" or "plug in this app so we can monitor more closely" --- NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. Technology is awesome, but make it my partner, not a hard sell so you can track me and compile even more data about me. I HATED the experience, but am more outraged by the terrible follow up experience and fact NO ONE CARES about how I felt or the feedback and thoughtfully compiled! I would NOT RECOMMEND! read more

To echo someone else on the Nomad location, I would not recommend Forward and suggest all people steer clear of Forward until they have their act together. It advertises as preventative care. In my experience, they just stressed me out and burdened with additional work (dealing with bills that I didn't approve--why are you giving out my address to others? Consumers should not be okay with that). It pretends that its technology makes your healthcare easier. In my experience, they made it much more complicated. I had a similar experience to what someone else said there about their in-app messages. It was an insane amount of complex work I had to perform just to get a simple HPV vaccine administered. They almost didn't even have it available for the second round (the HPV vaccine is given in three shots), I had to come back another day, and even on that next day, they called me the day of to see if I would go to another location. What the heck is that? I pay $150 per month to get rerouted? It's unreal what their staff asks you to do because they can't manage themselves. Yes, their on boarding experience seems quite pleasant. That's it. That was nice, but not at all enough to justify their existence. read more

I had my appointment with Dr. Singh, because the change of time I needed came with a change in doctor. The facility is clean and pleasant. I thought this was a substitute for a PCP and intended to use it as such. I was mistaken, and none of their referrals can be actually had unless you go back to your PCP and get them again. But this is a good thing. The quite pleasant Dr. Singh - who seems as if she has never seen a patient over 40 before - referred me for a $5000 (not covered by insurance) nuclear stress test for my complaint that I was unable to make it up more than 4 flights of stairs at once without getting out of breath. The hospital that called me for the test (which they initially thought must be for an urgent heart problem) was half amused and half horrified at the referral. There was much more in this vein. But when I noticed my actual words floating across the screen as we talked and I asked if I was being recorded WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT - it was all I could do to keep my cool. (The answer was yes.) This is a dangerous place to get your medical care. They have limited experience and an agenda mainly to sell your data, from what I can tell. read more

Foward has far exceeded my expectations. My first appointment was seamless. I had no wait time and it was very comprehensive. I spent a ton of time with my doctor and she was able to focus on me and talk through things we should focus on for my health specifically. Recently I got sick and used their chat feature and everyone on that was excellent. They called the pharmacy multiple times for me to see when my prescription would be ready and answered every question I had efficiently and nicely. read more

Forward has been incredibly helpful with a medical cardiac emergency I've been experiencing. They've helped with coordinating follow-ups, insurance, appointments and even contacting NYU Langone ER when I had an emergency and I didn't know who to reach out to. Truly amazing! I believe the concept of this service is the future of medicine. However, I think Forward is premature to trust them with all your data, and their software isn't ready for primetime. I understand they are a startup and it takes trial and error to perfect any product. The only issue you own medical records and health is probably not the best place to start. My initial visit did make me rethink my overall health and was thorough. But, I didn't learn anything I didn't already know about my health. I think the most uncomfortable piece of the visit was the scribe behind the curtain writing the notes as the doctor was interviewing you. I felt it was being transmitted throughout the office. They should just put the scribe in the same room and reassure the patient of privacy. On the plus side, the technology in their office and ability to have the lab results the day off are a vast improvement over existing medical visits. Their office is immaculate, accommodating and efficient. They have put a lot of thought around the design of the office and the initial impression. After the visit, the bloodwork and visit appeared intuitively on their mobile app. I did expect that other health tracking systems like blood pressure or my Fitbit would be integrated. It's not. To be fair, I have an android phone, and apparently, their iPhone integration is better. Furthermore, there is no web interface. Hoping they will rectify this soon. Overall, I see potential in their service and would like them to succeed. I am not sure at this point if I will continue the subscription. read more

I have not been to a doctor for years due to the fact that I hate waiting what seems like hours even though you make your appointment for a specific time. I never understood getting your blood drawn and then waiting weeks to get the results. Walked in to the location in Madison Ave and was seen in minutes. Bloodworm drawn and results delivered 10 min later. Dr. Singh spent probably 40 minutes just talking and getting to know me on a personal level which I never ever had. This is the way visits should be. Soo, u limited visits plus tetanus shots flu shots and some labwork covered with your monthly plan. Other shots may be covered but I have not asked yet. Any type of std screening is not covered at all,you would have to pay over like 150$ for that. HIV test is included. The bloodwork consist primarily of cholesterol and kidney function. They do pay for your 23and me DNA testing which I thought was pretty cool. They give you the kit and you just mail it out which will include your cancer screening I believe. So the first 3 months it's 99$. Afterward it shoots up too 150$. I want too see what else is not covered and what not so I will keep it for 3 months but so far no major complaints. read more

She wasn't available for over two weeks for an in person appointment until I called to say I was going to cancel my membership. Suddenly, a slot opened up for 3 days out. The whole purpose of paying for a membership was to be able to get an appointment within a day or two. Don't waste your money. I can't speak for anybody else who has had the experience/exposure to this business. I can only speak for my own experience in my experience alone. I absolutely love forward. I did do a lot of research before choosing to participate with them, I do have pretty reasonable health, and I am aware that those who tend to have pretty serious medical issues that they endure on a daily basis forward may not be the best option. But for me a 31 year old vegan the entire experience has been absolutely beautiful. I have had the experience of enjoying some pretty cool technology. Some really meaningful and a lot more positive experiences with all of my doctors. I don't have to really go anywhere crazy or pay anything crazy in order to see anyone. I also love the factor that there are also remote options to also have the important conversations about your health. The app works fine for me, is it the cleanest interface? No. But with some time and energy especially in a year such as 2023 they'll eventually have the app more calibrated to the requirements in order to have a successful app. I haven't had to pay a dime over my monthly charge and it's been 10 times better than any old school insurance company. This is how you would expect and/or want your insurance to cover you and take care of you. I learn so much about my health and my genetics and the things that help me move every single day. I would hands-down recommend this company to anyone who's in the beginning of trying to protect their health. I am actually very much pro universal healthcare, if we're really talking about it. But! in regards of progressive companies replacing the evil medical corporations stealing with those old-school insurance companies and do nothing for anyone. Appointment at Forward medical group at 555 Madison Ave. NYC July 30th with Dr Singh. This is a concierge group with a monthly fee that does not accept insurance. Very disappointed. False advertising on website about various scans done on site. Was told scans not available in spite of being advertised. When I joined I inquired if being 70 years old with chronic conditions such as Sjogrens and PMR would be a good fit for me. Assured it was fine. Disappointed that blood work did not include CBC. Told not provided in monthly fee. I had sent blood work from my rheumatologist 3 weeks prior to visit. Dr Singh said not available. Then that night they said it was. Would have been good for the doctor to look at outside bloodwork. All patients treated the same at baseline appointment. Healthy, unhealthy, 30 or 70. I had to suggest further bloodwork at outside lab which did turn up some concerns. My suggestions not theirs. All communication done on app with non professionals. This new concept in medical care is a hit! The staff is highly qualified, friendly and eager to guide their patients to excellent health. The technology they utilize definitely adds a "wow" factor and makes a visit to the doctor fun. Basic blood tests results are available during your visit which makes it super helpful to address any problems right then and there. Comprehensive records that can be accessed in one place on your Iphone puts the patient in control of his health. I have utilized the messaging system on their App several times, and the response is always immediate. This is the new standard for healthcare, both for the patient and for the physician. The staff at the Madison Ave location is outstanding from the moment you walk in the door (Pari) to the MA (Katherine) who draws your blood (not even a pinch!) and sets you up for the physician (Dr. Singh and Dr. Graziano) both of whom are top physicians while remaining personable and warm. Oh man, finally the search for a physician/Dr. is over. I could not find one because the health care system and its regular Dr.s are only there for you after the fact. After you got sick. But when you get sick it's already too late for many diseases. Forward is a whole different animal. It's really about tracking and consolidating all the data about you, creating a medical/health picture snapshot of you and then work proactively/profilactically with you on anything that could threaten your heart. I'm in the care of Dr. Singh, and she is phenomenal. She combines a wholistic look and approach combined with the latest modern western research and medicine that is out there. She would fist give you a home remedy to try before she would prescribe pills. The Dr.s visit is also on a whole different level of an experience. It's more like a spa. No waiting, no unfriendly nurse, a Dr. that cares and is at your service to help you to become a better version of yourself. I really hope that this health system will establish itself as the new standard of medical care. Did I mention that it's a good deal too. We combine the monthly fee of this caliber of a Dr. with a high deductible health insurance plan and an HSA account. With Forward you pay a flat fee and visits and consultation is 24/7 so no petty charging an arm and a leg for every Dr.s visit. And serious things and specilist will be paid by insurance.
