You can tell the suspicious people they are the ones that are just "hanging out" looking like they have no where to go, or just walking un circles looking at you and everyone else and are not self directed toward their transportation or just following other people until they are noticed and they break off. I had to use this confusing station to get back to my hotel a few times but until I was on the train my anxiety level was up. Once on the train there were numerous security agents. Wish they had a law in Copenhagen that you can not loiter at or near train stations, you must always be directing yourself toward your transportation would make it a safer place. What is it about train stations in Europe that attracts suspicious people? PS. If you are from the US with a US credit card the ticket machines only take debit and coins for tickets. US credit cards require a signature and ID check and machines reject them.

There is very good signage in both English and Danish. And because it's in "downtown" København, the trains run often. Nørreport is not just S-train, but also serves the metro and main lines. It is actually the busiest railway station in all of Denmark. Even more so than the Central station. From here, you can catch the M1 and M2 of the metro, most of the S trains and even regional trains to Zealand and Sweden. There is a ton of bicycle parking at street level and yes, bicycles are allowed on the trains here (just not during rush hours). Nørreport is between Vesterport and Østerport stations. It is in Fare zone 1. There are bus connections at street level, too.

Good thing? It's right across from Starbucks and Føtex, and if you're like me who get off at this station to go visit a friend, the supermarket can come pretty handy! I intentionally planned my 2 days in Denmark around this area, with my hotel and the sites I wanted to visit within walking distance. The current station building opened in 1911, with a major overhaul in 1980 including elevators, escalators and a new station concourse. It has 7 platforms and 13 tracks, making it the largest train station in Denmark. With 100,000 travelers per day, it is the second busiest in the country. Getting to it from the airport required taking the M2 line, transferring at Kongens Nytorv to the either the M3 or M4 line to get here. The journey took a little over 30 minutes, and the trains were relatively crowded on both the inbound and outbound. The cost was (30,00 DKK - $4.69 USD converted) for the one way. There are no gates of any sort, and I didn't see any security doing ticket checks. Read on-line that fines could be substantial. Since the trains to the airport run so frequently, didn't have a chance to admire/partake of the station. On my next longer visit, will linger a bit more.

The open space has a calm atmosphere, with a small garden in the middle and majestic historic buildings surrounding it, including the Royal Danish Theatre, Hotel D'Angleterre, and several high-end shops like Rolex. It's a convenient meeting point and a pleasant place to pause while exploring the city. There's even a small pub on the corner, perfect for an Aperol Spritz on a warm afternoon. I don't claim this the most beautiful place in the city, but it's nice to pass through.

There are stairs and elevators too take you too the top. Tickets can be purchases via vending machines on the platform ubove. This particular location had no seating . Metro comes every 10 minutes so you won't have too wait very long. Bella Center Station is on Metro Line M1 and in zone 3 which runs from Vanlose to Vestamager. It's location is centrally located near Cowell Convention Center, AC Hotel Bella Sky, and minutes away (on metro) to the city center, & "Fields Shopping Center" which is Scandinavia largest shopping center. You feel you have your own metro that takes you to your hotel and back out into the city. In the 6 days I was in Copenhagen, there were probably 1-3 people at the stop whenever I took it into downtown which is about 3 metro stops. Two metro stops past the AC Bella Hotel in the other direction is a huge shopping gallery where you can buy anything from is (Danish for ice cream or the pastry) to nuts. Visits: Many. Tip: You can buy, daily or weekly metro passes at CPH right after you pick up luggage on your right and before you get to the train stations into the city. Each station has automated ticketrons.

There's a…read morevery slow elevator that you must painfully wait for it to go up / down when you have bunch of suitcases, otherwise don't bother. I like to use this metro station when I'm going to the airport because the zone is 3 and then I only need to pay for 2 zones (3 and 4) apart from if I take the metro from Lergravsparken in zone 1. The station is very close to the beach as well. Get out here to experience the sea breeze, since this side of the beach is rather empty compared to those next to Amager Strand metro, I like it the best.

It's atrocious that I hadn't review this place before…read more This is the metro station closest to where I live, so I mostly begin my travel from here, whether it's to my office in Herlev, to more exciting places from the airport, or just to the old smelly Nørreport before switching to trains to Jutland peninsula. This metro station has all the standard, but I wish whoever built it put more thoughts in developing it. It has all the necessity, ticket machines (both for rejsekort and metro tickets), the bike parking space and the obligatory hot dog seller right on the entrance. But but..this place could have been so much more! I agree that Lergravsparken is a little bit of a dull place, but I keep thinking about those underground stations in Berlin where there are always so many eating places to choose. You can grab a croissant and coffee on your way to work, or brioche and espresso as the way Italians do. As a matter of fact, most of metro / underground stations all over Europe have tons of eating places attached to it. Why not Denmark? Why must all metro stations here in Copenhagen be grey and sterile? Live it up a little, Copenhagen! I hope the new metro stations are a bit different, but seeing how conformist many Danes actually are, I have little hope :(
