The prawn dumpling is a fried shrimp dumpling that Chinese people usually steam for dim sum, I didn't expect it to be good but now I am of the mind that all shrimp dumplings should be fried like this! There are a few tables in doors but we got stuck with the lone table outside as all the inside tables were taken because of the rain. My latest visit was with a ratbag bunch of mates whereby 15 of us all made individual orders. I opted for the salt and pepper calamari pack which came with salad and chips. I was expecting one of those lame mesclun salad with one piece of tomato and one piece of cucumber. Not the case. It was a perfect portion of shredded (!) cucumber, onion and tomato on a bed of clean spinach leaves and a punchy dressing. The calamari was real, fresh and huge! I'm talking pieces the size of your hand covered in a salt and pepper powder (not floured). All of this with the addition of a bed of golden chips below. Oh yeah! There is plenty of seating inside and out, with the outside bench seats offering a view on to the waterfront which is stunning during sunset!
