Here's my final thoughts to Fortispay for our company, sent today:
FortisPay's handling of our business accounts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene has been completely unacceptable. We were operating in the middle of a federally declared disaster area after our Boone location and warehouse were destroyed, yet instead of receiving understanding, competent assistance, and good customer service, we encountered repeated inconsistencies, conflicting information, inaccurate records, broken promises, and statements that simply did not match the facts.
We repeatedly contacted FortisPay seeking help, account closures, equipment guidance, refunds, and accurate information, only to be passed around without meaningful resolution. Different representatives provided different answers, follow-ups were promised and never made, and equipment and account records have contained serious discrepancies.
Because of this experience, we will never do business with FortisPay again. As of today, we are requesting that ALL accounts associated with our business be immediately and permanently closed. We have documentation confirming that there will be no further charges to our accounts for equipment, services, fees, or any other additional items, as communicated to us by Jasmine and Thomas Irvin.
A payment-processing company should be capable of accurately maintaining its records, communicating clearly, honoring its commitments, and helping its customers--especially businesses struggling to recover from a catastrophic natural disaster. Instead, FortisPay's lack of accountability, poor communication, inconsistent information, and overall inability to provide competent customer service created additional financial and emotional stress during an already devastating period for our business.
We consider our relationship with FortisPay terminated as of today and expect the company to honor, in full, the written representations made to us regarding closure of these accounts and the assurance that no additional charges will be assessed. read more
