Alyssa's Wonderful Wag & Wash

Cannot recommend Alyssa enough! She's so great with our two dogs, and even takes the best pics…read moreduring her visits!

Alyssa is nothing short of amazing!! We have 2 extremely needy sphynx cats that are our literal…read morebabies. We both work from home so they're very used to having us around all day. We needed to leave town and of course leaving them was giving me major anxiety. I particularly was looking for a pet sitter that was available to do overnights and do their 3x/day feedings. I was impressed starting from the first meeting we had with Alyssa. She came prepared with a questionnaire and noted every little detail about each cat. Their likes, dislikes, feeding schedule, favorite toys, etc.... I really appreciated that as each of our cats are very different. And I also saw how well she interacted with them during that first meeting. Communication with her has been stellar. Alyssa takes the most amazing photos & sent lots of video updates too. Especially for someone like me who was a nervous wreck leaving them- getting constant updates from her really put my mind at ease. Any time I would check in- she would respond right away. One of our cats in particular is shy with strangers and I was worried that she wouldn't eat while we were gone. I gave Alyssa some recommendations as to how to coax her to eat and Alyssa was so patient with her and kept trying everything she can. And Alyssa was able to get her to eat every meal! I can tell that she was trying to do whatever she can so to make sure our cats were happy and comfortable (which they were!). Alyssa was also very respectful of our home. Even though she spent 3 days at our place- you wouldn't even know! She stripped the sheets, towels, & asked if there's anything else she can do so to make our arrival less stressful. Litter boxes/surrounding areas were spotless! She took amazing care of our home (and for people that are borderline ocd clean- that means a lot). I can't recommend her enough! Will definitely be using Alyssa the next time we need a pet sitter. P.S. She also happens to be the sweetest and has a very calming energy which I know pets gravitate toward.

If you actually like your pet, do NOT leave your pet with them. They basically just have teenagers…read morerunning it and whoever the owner is wasn't there both times I called. Long story short we left our family dog there while we went out of town. Upon picking him up he seemed different and completely out of it. He had a sore (abscess) on his gums, one of his eyes was completely covered with eye mucus and hair in his eye that could've been removed, and dry caked on medication in his fur...they could've easily wiped it off. Upon coming home he didn't jump on any of us or even appear to be excited like he usually is. He seemed different and kinda stand offish. He has only been to one other pet resort (in another city) and he stayed there a number of times. While at the other one they sent updates while he was there and he was his normal self once we picked him up. Idk what they have going on at this place but we took our dog to the vet immediately after picking him and have him checked out. Mind you, we have never had to take him to the vet out of concern at the previous place. His bark also changed because he was barking consistently. He usually doesn't bark much unless something or someone is bothering him. He now has a "hoarse" bark that will eventually get better. But it only makes me wonder what he went through being there. It doesn't sound like they actually care for the dogs even though they have "protocols" in place. Crazy....
