Paul was tremendously helpful throughout the project. Lots of great recommendations and advice. I will definitely use them again. Very professional and reasonably priced. UPDATE: We had some touchup work performed by New Haven Painters a few days ago and Orly was AWESOME. Very communicative. Really strived for our complete satisfaction. They did a great job, and it was at NO COST to me! They really stand by their work.

However when we met with Mike at Modern Painting we felt comfortable from the start. Mike made the process so easy and everything he said he would do, he went above and beyond. His company did an outstanding job on our basement. They transformed 1500 sq. feet of empty unfinished space into a beautiful living area, where we now spend the majority of our time. The other painter was extremely flaky and we only had two weeks before moving in to get the house painted. We called Mike the night after closing frantic that out other painter "could no longer do it in the two weeks". Mike came THE NEXT DAY. The quote was higher than others by quite a bit, but it was worth it. They painted the hallways, trim, ceilings, closets, mudroom, bedrooms in a 1700 square feet house in one week and it looked absolutely amazing. I am incredibly impressed with the work of modern and would highly recommend them. I never write yelp reviews but he did such a great job!

However, that said, we can UNEQUIVOCALLY state that Dawn of 3Cats far and away both the best and our favorite! Truly! From the first day we met her, when she came to give us a quote, she was kind, funny, and no pretense or bs. She's a 100% straightshooter! She gave us a fair, reasonable without the usual North Stamford markup other contractors do. We agreed on reasonable work times, days and schedule. She hewed to that schedule, every week. We really enjoyed seeing her, each morning, kidding around and so forth. She has a great spirit and we enjoyed having it in our home. Then she'd dive in for a day of work. You hardly know she's there. She does not leave big messes. And she's always willing to listen and make adjustments, when we would be slow in making our color choices or flat-out change our mind. She could roll with it. But, honestly, apart from her warmth and positivity, my favorite thing about Dawn is her phenomenally steady and concomitant attention to detail, which is precisely what everyone wants in a painter but so seldom gets. Her work is absolutely top drawer! Exceptional work!

It was Monday at 5:00 pm and the realtor was coming on Wednesday to take pics. I was nowhere near ready and I was panicking. At 5:10 Jaider from Genius Painting & Cleaning called and set up a time that same evening for a walkthrough. He and Veronica were amazing! They arrived on time, masked up and meant business. They were very thorough and clearly very experienced with this sort of task. Veronica took notes and made suggestions that I hadn't thought of and pointed out some trouble areas I had never noticed. They assured me that they'd be able to complete the cleaning in time for the realtor and to my satisfaction. I have 3 cats and a dog and lived in my home for 8 years so they definitely had their work cut out for them! They arrived on Tuesday Afternoon as scheduled and worked well into the evening, not missing a single detail. They tackled everything from cobwebs to cat hair, the floors sparkled and windows were spotless! They scrubbed every inch of my house including scrubbing my kitchen cabinets inside and out from top to bottom and washed all of the walls in all 3 bathrooms. Their attention to detail was astounding. They even came back the next day touch up the windows in the daylight. Bottom Line: Jaider and Veronica truly know what they're doing. Their attention to detail, sense of urgency, professionalism and ability to deliver an exceptional result at an incredibly reasonable price is the finest of examples of how to do business.
