The beef patties are made fresh to order AND so flavorful and the chutney served alongside was amazing. For entrees we ordered jerk chicken, Chicken tikka masala and goat curry. Each was exceptional - great portion sizes- truly a meal! For sides - we had the exceptional mac and cheese, cabbage, collar greens and bourbon yams. I can't say enough about how good the food is. We love it here! And the owner is there - checking on us and making sure everything was to our liking! Excellent food, excellent service - we will definitely be back again!

You can tell they actually care about the food they're putting out. It's a little small inside and parking is in the back if I remember correctly. It's low-key genius that they have Caribbean and Indian food together. I got the jerk chicken bowl. My daughter tried the the veggie biryani with garlic naan. We also grabbed a side of yams, I would actually die for them. Also, the plantains were perfectly sweet and caramelized. It's giving authentic, it's giving flavor, it's giving "I'm coming back next week." (I wish), we need this in California. If you're on Bardstown Rd and haven't been yet, you're actually missing out. 100% recommend grabbing a plate. NO pictures of the food but my tummy will always remember.

Not even sure how I found it but I think it's run by a couple of sisters. Super nice service, very spacious, plenty of indoor seating, easy parking. I like that it feels open and homey. I got the Liberian Gravy w/ shrimp and the Torborgee with rice. The Liberian gravy really reminded me of a chinese egg and tomato dish. The gravy isn't like your typical brown gravy. It's more of a tomato based sauce flavored with some spices. It's pretty hard for me to describe... but it is more on the tart side as far as savory dishes go. Torborgee was more my speed. The beans were cooked to a nice soft consistency and felt nice and hearty since it was so cold outside. I loved the flavors it was cooked with beef in it which gave it an amazing heartiness. very earthy flavors. 10/10 would get again. Wish I got to try the fufu but. alas. maybe on a different trip. Got some kanyan to go. kinda like rolled balls of crunchy bits and peanut butter? or something? tasted kinda nutty, felt like it had crunchy bits of dry noodles or something w some nice spices and sugar. Was definitely an interesting snack, would get it again. oh they also make this chili paste? in house which is SOOOOOOOOOO good. reminded me of this african chili oil i had a few years back. man. would come back for that alone.

In my frustration, I just rode around until I found something else. This place was nearby. When I looked it up and saw they served Jamaican food, it turned into a wonderful mistake. As soon as I walked in, the music transported me right to Jamaica. The staff was friendly and answered a few of my questions before I decided on the curry chicken with rice and peas and cabbage. It was love at first bite. The meat fell off the bone and was full of flavor. The chicken was finger licking good and the sides were solid. I don't know what the secret is to Jamaican cabbage but I always enjoy it so much. I know it's such a simple dish and they don't do too much but it's perfect to me. The only sad part is that I discovered this restaurant at the end of my trip instead of the beginning. Otherwise, I would've stopped by a few more times.

The family member waiting on us was very friendly, kind and helpful. You get a bottle of water and a banana with your meal - Somali tradition he says; we ordered chicken sugaar and tilapia plates, service and food was quick. Sugaar came with a mild curry of diced chicken sautéed with yellow rice and vegetables with a spinach/tomato soup and a nice hot sauce for dipping. The tilapia fillets came nicely coated and hot. All was good and very tasty. There is an Indian, Mediterranean and Thai blend of spices that all come together. I forget the name but the little sandwich which is filled with beef is a must try appetizer or many as a meal in themselves. This restaurant brings a new genre of food not commonly found in this area. I do recommend a stop in to try it out.
