I've never had a huge problem, although I have had some minor quality issues in the past (especially when Sam does my hair). But lord, this time unacceptable, even after I requested Sam to clean my hair up a little more he left massive chunks on the sides that were unfinished and looked terrible. He didn't clean my neck up whatsoever and he looked like a begging puppy asking for a tip and remarked to "tell my buddies where I got my haircut." Well they didn't need me to tell them, they asked so they knew to avoid wherever the hell I went! $30 for a relatively boring place with lackluster barbers. Aprox a month ago I stopped in to Hair On The Floor Barbershop to find out some basic information…read morefor a friend of mine who wanted to get her hair braided. Jessica was working the morning I stopped by. I asked her some basic information which she answered in a way that I could tell she wasn't bs 'n me. Because she was so nice and personable as well as very easy to talk to, I asked her if she could braid my hair in January. She said of course she could. She told me she could work with my budget and all I had to do was send her some pictures. When I got home and searched online I was overwhelmed with all of the choices. I knew I wanted to experience something new, but I couldn't make a decision. Whenever I saw women out in public with braids in their hair, the entire month of December, I'd ask them if I could take a picture of their hair; to give me ideas. They might have thought I was nuts, but they allowed me to. However, when I walked back into Hair On The Floor Barbershop this past Friday, I'd actually decided to allow Jessica to make the difficult decisions for me. I picked the hair color I wanted and we agreed upon a price for services, but it was up to Jessica to decide the style and type of braids. I scheduled the appointment for 9am yesterday morning. I had the most amazing time and experience. The vibes we experienced together while getting to know each other while she was braiding my hair; helped me understand the phrase "vibrate higher". I have felt euphoric for the past 14 hours. A wonderful natural high, one unlike any I've ever experienced. It's been years since I've actually enjoyed the stylist (at other places). I can tell that Jessica is passionate and very skilled in her craft. I love my hair. It's perfect and beautiful. I feel like a model - a super star - as well as a beautiful young women finally coming to age. Which is funny because I'm actually 46 years old. I'm am very grateful to have been able to meet Jessica and I look forward to returning next month to see what fun and new exciting style she can give me. :)

My youngest sons' first time was tough - he screamed the entire time. No matter - these guys were champs at keeping calm and still cutting his hairs. Second go: little man screamed again, but the barber has addressed this problem before with other kids; after he asked me to back away, he cut little man's hair, and the screaming was no longer. No thanks, as usual the first impression is not great. A chance blown to gain another local customer. As a side note, the compressed air blowoff of customers hair from the station into the seating area is not only a huge turn off, but a questionable practice at best. And they were surprised that i wasnt interested in sticking around. They should remove the sign outside suggesting that they take walk ins so people are forced to acknowledge.
