I may not have birthed this dog, but I rescued him, gave him life and gave up my own, and hand fed him every day for six years) So when I asked Shane if he thought he was having trouble, Shane said "he has a lot of trouble with his belly. He feels allergic to a lot of things. But he likes pudding... Does that make sense? He's showing me pudding". I nearly fell off my chair. When I said I hand feed Marcus, it's because he refuses to eat regular dog food so I've been hand feeding him baby food for six years, which looks just like pudding. I was hooked. Absolutely obsessed with his gift and how easy it was to talk to him and the peace he brings. Marcus was also epileptic and only had three legs. Fast forward to December and I knew he was dying, but I didn't know why and Shane gave me the clarification I needed to make the right decision. Epilepsy is a b*tch. Only two weeks later, another epileptic dog that I rescued years ago had a seizure but wouldn't come out of it. That's the greatest fear. Without hesitating, I called Shane. He let us know that he had a lot of pain in his head, he felt like he had a stroke, that was fluid on his brain, and he was ready to go. His angels were coming for him but he wasn't letting go because his mom just kept fighting, regardless of what we told her. I asked Shane point blank, is he gonna make it. And he was very honest, and said, "even if he pulls out of this for a little while, this is his time, he's not gonna last long". He seemed to make a recovery, and everyone was so relieved. But I knew better... They brought him home and he died two days later on his own bed in his own house. He just stopped breathing (for no reason). Shane is the real deal, has a heart of gold, and I truly hope no one takes advantage of his gift and kindness. Thank you for everything Shane. We love you.

The menu is not strictly vegetarian but has about as many vegetarian options as meat options, mostly featuring tempeh. Vegetarian options are easily veganizable by removing cheese or replacing it with avocado. I was having trouble choosing between the veggie reuben and the veggie steak sub, but they had run out of sauerkraut for the reuben, so steak it was. I thought the steak sub was delicious. Tempeh has a totally different texture from steak, but it delivers the savory flavor you want in a cheesesteak. I also got a slice of cheesecake with a swirl of raspberry or strawberry jam. It wasn't particularly memorable, but it was good. The interior of the restaurant is really cool. There are a few different rooms. The room I was in, where the ordering counter is, had this sort of jungle theme going on, with a mural and decorative furniture. There is also a larger dining room, a patio out back, and a bar, which appears to function somewhat separately from the main restaurant but doesn't show up as a separate location on any map app. If approaching from the south and looking for the restaurant, walk past the bar for the restaurant entrance on the north end of the building.

Kicker: It was only 50 cents. There's no card to buy to put money on first for "convenience." I got a replay on that pinball game on the first try. High score. I appreciate that quarters are the way here. No tokens to be left over and wasted or require a trip back to use. I appreciate that Street Figher II costs but a quarter. The only negative I have is that, like at Denver arcades, the buttons on this game are beaten down and don't respond quickly, at times not at all. There was an air conditioning vent blowing directly down onto me, and the wall behind me was filthy with dust bunnies and lint. By the end of the show several people in my general vicinity started displaying signs of irritability due to the tight quarters. The show I saw was A Christmas Story, and while the classic movie translated to the stage better than I thought it would, I felt there were a few elements that should have been excluded - such as the racism in the Chinese restaurant scene, the sexism in just about every scene with women in it, the portrayal of smoking, and the overacting (even for a community theater production where part of the appeal is the campiness) that I honestly don't remember being present in previous shows I have been to. One last thing - if you are going to do a show that features a firearm (even an unloaded BB gun) for f*ck's sake please educate your actors on proper handling. The barrel of anything (even an unloaded BB gun) pointed in my direction is gut twistingly uncomfortable.

Rating and estimated run time are given and nothing else, encouraging people to branch out into new movie genres for a bargain, also something fun to do with friends on a Monday. These mystery movies are usually new movies that haven't come out yet/are coming out soon and are a good way to see things a little before they are released. Some movies are only here for the mystery screening and do not stick around after - Boy Kills World and the Spy x Family movie were examples of this one night only.
