Dr. Kivisto took over the practice of an old friend who I went to before, Dr. Casey Baker. I had…read moreno knowledge of Dr. Kivisto other than he used the same methods that Casey did, and that he was going to do his best to ensure that the transition between practices was seamless. I tend to use chiropractic adjustments proactively, rather than reactively, though my schedule for the past 2 years really tamped down on my ability to do that, so my first visit to Dr. Kivisto was to relieve a muscle spasm in my L4 and L5 vertebrae. Dr. Kivisto treated me just like Dr. Baker always had: put me in traction for a few minutes to relax and ready my back for adjustment, did gentle adjustments that took account of my specific areas of pain, and finished with some modern, needle-free acupuncture. If you're worried about time - once your initial consult is done, you can be in and out of there in fewer than 10 minutes. Why not 5 stars? For the sole reason that the open hours are controlled by the coaching system that so many chiros use. Rather than being open during the 1-3pm period, Dr. Kivisto is closed during those hours M-R, and is only open 9-11 on Friday. But, I made the necessary adjustments to my schedule to get there and I suggest you do also. A lot of the other chiros use the same coaching system and hence are in on the scheduling conspiracy also. Don't try to beat it. Just join it :-)

Definitely not the standard approach to Chiropractic care. I have been going to several chiropractors over the past 10 years and I have had good results with all of them.....except this One. I was new to the area so I used Yelp to find a chiropractor in the local area. He charged $80.00 for a 10 minutes ER-style check if basic vitals and $50.00 to zap me with some BS "hand adjuster." I don't know if I'm more pissed at myself for paying or this office for scanning patients. Save yourself the money and find a real chiropractor. This guy gives chiropractors a bad name!

From falling down stairs, car accidents and work mishaps to migraines I've managed to run the gamut of pain induced misery. What I found when I was 21 or 22 was that a chiropractor can do what muscle relaxers and anti inflammatories cannot. They FIX it, no covering symptoms so conditions worsen. I pinched my sciatic nerve at 21 or 22 and went to the doctor barely able to walk. I didn't wanna breathe the pain was so awful. Pills were given to me to relieve my symptoms. They did nothing. Not one medication took the edge off the pain but when my boss called the chiropractor down the block my life changed. She explained that her tech could barely walk and asked if he would have any time to see a new patient. She was speaking to Dr. Reid Ketteler who was closing for lunch within just a few minutes. What the man did was phenomenal. He asked me to come in at 12, ON HIS LUNCH HOUR, so he could help me. He took x-rays and studied them with me, he measured my muscle function and showed me the reason behind the pain and then worked out a treatment plan with me. He made me part of my own care and solution and educated me and you know what? Funnily enough the pain went away. I was able to walk and run and even got back to my volleyball league. So my review goes like this: Dr. Ketteler is a rare gem! He is a kind, caring and compassionate professional that enjoys helping others. His office assistants are sweet, friendly and personable; the treatment offered is top notch. I cannot say enough about just how wonderful this practice is! If you're experiencing any kind of chronic pain Dr. Ketteler is my number 1 recommendation to correct the problem. Chiropractic care treats many things so whether it's pain or another condition that takes you to him, you won't be disappointed.
