It is distinctive from other Japanese green teas because it is roasted in a porcelain pot over charcoal. It is roasted at 150° C to prevent oxidation and produce a light golden colour, as opposed to other Japanese teas which are steamed."
This flavor is decaf, and it tasted mild and matcha-y. It's a little different though, so it was interesting to try. It was subtle and creamy, and it went down easy. Also did not taste like it had any sugar.
This was a relaxing, hipster little cafe to stop and chill at for some time, and to try some coffee and pastries. They're busy, so I appreciated their patience while I asked questions and decided what to get.
