I usually love coming to this place but I was very disappointed that my kids barber canceled on me for no exact reason . My boys were supposed to get haircuts tomorrow since they start school Monday but the barber sent me a text at 10:35 pm saying he wouldn't be able to make it to the barbershop to cut my kids hair . I was very disappointed because all the other barbers were booked and my kids wouldn't be able to get their haircut on time for the first day of school . Big inconvenience.

I had asked for a trim--just to refine the shape and slightly reduce volume, as I showed in a photo, since I'm growing it out. Instead, he insisted this minimal process was a trim. In reality, he barely clipped anything--only two quick snips at the back--without addressing sides or giving a proper shape refinement. He charged me $50 for what felt like a superficial spray-and-comb. I left feeling uncomfortable and frankly scammed, as I did not receive the thoughtful trim I requested. It's disappointing, and unfortunately, this type of experience drives clients away.

I was looking for a quick place to get a line up and came across this place on Yelp. I saw how close it was to my campus and decided to check it out. From the moment I walked in, it was great hospitality, great company. They were so welcoming and so understanding and then you have allow me up really well. My lineup was $15 and I tip them in an additional $5 so a total of $20. I like the hospitality and the company of the barbershop so much that I brought two additional classmates with me. One of them was from New York and was asking me where he can get a haircut from people who knew how to cut black people hair, I was like you know what I do know a spot, and I took him to Headliners. My other friend who usually gets his haircuts in Richmond also came with me. We are all students at Touro and this is a very convenient place for anyone who lives in the area, by the area, or needs a real quick haircut. If anyone has any questions or concerns about this place please feel free to contact me, I'll be happy to answer anything that comes my way.

And the time or two I did get him to relax, it would leave red marks and it got to the point where he was refusing to go. So we scheduled an appt for the same day- So glad I did because it went incredibly! He was patient with my son, talked him through when he got scared and was super playful and fun. And surprisingly there was no red marks. My son loved the hair cut and said he wants to go there every time he needs his hair cut now.
