Luckily google popped up this place and it was less than 5 minutes away. The man who served me was v helpful, the light was in stock and he made sure I knew how to fit it. I've been very impressed with the few times I've used this branch of Halfords. They've not just…read morematched but bettered prices from other places I've gone and, in the case of tyres, have been able to source parts I needed that other garages said were impossible to obtain. Staff seem very above board and honest, give good quotes which they stick to and won't upsell a part. Instead, they'll happily explain the difference between a premium label part and a budget equivalent and let you make the choice - often encouraging the saving of cash. Had my car MOT's recently. During a service elsewhere I was told my brakes might need looked at soon. Halfords passed them as being fine - when there was obviously the opportunity for an MOT failure and some profitable work. In other words, they encourage repeat business. Happy to recommend them.

WARNING WARNING…read more For anyone thinking about buying a car from GLASGOW TRADE SALES I purchased a car from GLASGOW TRADE SALES on 14/2/18 with 3 months warranty! I have been trying to contact them since the 10/3/18 to report some problems I am experiencing. They hang up on me & don't return any calls when I leave messages. They also refuse to acknowledge or respond to emails. I now realise they have done this a lot to other customer's. After a bit of investigation on my part the warranty they claim to offer with "Warranty Wise" which you can clearly see advertised on all their current cars is a complete LIE. I have personally spoken to warranty wise and GLASGOW TRADE SALES are not an approved dealer of warranty wise and haven't been for 5/6 months now. They are liars and cheats please do not buy a car from them it's not worth the risk. Check out the reviews on Google and Auto Trader I wish I had before buying my car. All I can do now is warn others so they don't fall for the same lies I did. Please help me by sharing this with family and friends in the Glasgow area!

Recently bought a Kia Carens that turned out to have multiple issues. GTS do not answer calls or reply to emails or messages, I wonder why. I guess their 30 day warranty is worth about as much as their word. I have since had the car independently checked and the garage I use and trust are adamant the car should never have passed an not due to the brakes being defective among other issues. GTS never even bothered to fix the non existent handbrake despite falsely claiming too. Glasgow Trade sales will take your money then stick their fingers up at laughing you as you drive away. The matter is now in the hands of trading standards, VOSA and the police for the dodgy mot issued. Glasgow trade sales have f####d with the wrong guy this time. See you soon Dan!!!

It was a little out of the way for me (their location is in a southside industrial park), but they came highly recommended. My car had a whole laundry list of things that needed doing from the previous MOT and they took care of all of that without trying to sell me on a bunch of unnecessary stuff. I needed three new tyres and they repositioned all of them in the way that made the most sense for our long-term wear (without me even needing to ask). Their garage was large and well-run and I had my car back in great shape the same day. Well done, guys!

I chose it because they seemed like the cheapest when I did some research online. The place is located not too far from the city centre, and it seemed quite busy, even on a Monday morning. The guys were ready for me, and it was done in about an hour or so. It cost a little less than I was expecting it to, so overall, I'm rather happy with the service, and with the cost. They even had free coffee and biscuits in their waiting room.

Really dreadful car store…read more Very unhelpful and grumpy Bought something and literally 30mins later went back as the item was the wrong size, I had left my receipt in the house, wouldn't issue a return without it, even tho he was the one that served me not 30 mins prior and obviously remembered me as I walked in he asked if I forgot something from being in previous. Made me go all the way back to the house, get the receipt and drive back, then as I got there he was even more unhelpful as he had started cashing up the till even though the store was still to be open 15 more mins(I had previously checked that I would have time to return) Really bad customer service and wasted my time so much I didn't wish to buy the correct size item from the store

My husband tried to figure out what the problem was, thought it could be the car battery was dead. The shop is right across the street from Morrison's which was very convenient for us. We went to the shop to get a new battery and the staff and manager were very friendly and helpful. They even offered to help us change the battery! My experience told me staff at these shops always recommend u n try to convince u to get the most expensive ones. We were a bit worried abt we would get overcharged but when we were back home to check the price on the Internet, it's very reasonable, and with great service! The commodities displayed in the shop are neat n there's a good range of choices plus everything looks very clean. I think the manager is a towbar expert but they also sell lots of other car stuff. The store is definitely a well managed hidden gem providing honest prices. We wish we discovered it earlier!!
