This station looks like it's big, but it really isn't. You get off the train and think--wow, surely up those stairs inside that big brick building there's a cafe and a shop! But the only thing up there is a ticket booth, a vending machine, and some loos.
There are two massive, enclosed shelters either side of the tracks for waiting in, which is great--but I can't help thinking they could have used the space better.
There's not a whole lot around here, but there is a park on Duke Street and the local library branch is across the street from the park. read more
