It was also a place where you can fun into other friendly faces you know or just meet and have a great conversation. I always have wonderful conversations with Angela and she's been a great ear to me for the past year. I'm a regular customer there purchasing facial beauty products from local and/or other small businesses. Detroit is lucky to have someone like Angela a part of their business community and their culture.

I give this place four stars for its commitment to Detroit, art, and general sentiment of neighborly love. The owner describes her shop as a 'work in progress', which it is, she is still remodeling. But here of some of the goods and services she offers: religious photography, handmade/crochet items (including a pair of boots!), handmade jewelry (she teaches young Detroit women to make the jewelry and then sells it for them), African art and clothing, massage oils, incense, and a wealth of knowledge about the Rivertown Development and its neighboring businesses. Then, they had the nerve to blame me for not knowing my schedule even though no one call me after orientation. After telling that stupid assistant manager three times that I never knew about the schedule she asked me if I could come in right then and there. I said no and she hung up. So unprofessional. I will never want to work for Citi Trends. Terrible Management. BY the good news about it is that a few weeks later I got another job offer for a better company and more money.
