The jerk seasoning had a really nice kick without being overpowering, and the flavour was spot-on. The pork itself was tender with a fantastic grilled char. The mashed potatoes were a little bland on their own, but thankfully the Pineapple Curry Sauce that came on the side was incredible. It helped bring the potatoes to life and paired beautifully with the pork. That sauce was seriously tasty! My wife ordered the Red Thai Curry Pasta and really enjoyed it as well. She loved the flavour of the curry and the pasta, although she did wish there had been a little more shrimp. We also split a Keith's, which was nice. We would have liked to get a drink each, but we found the drink prices to be pretty overpriced, so we decided to stick with one. Overall, we had a great experience here. We came right before the snowstorm hit so it was just our table and one other regular sitting at the bar. The place was very chill. Food was ok. The deep fried clamaro and my Muskoka Burger were authentic but not impressive. Service was nice, the waitress girl was friendly. I'd recommend this place if you are with one of the inns in this area and not planning to travel far to dine.

A pint of beer was still something silly like $5, and a burger and fries was only $9. There pasta was incredible, with way more sun-dried tomatoes than I ever could have imagined. And, their ridiculous dessert was a real treat. I don't think I have been able to go to a restaurant, fill myself and my partner, each of us have an alcoholic beverage, enjoy a dessert together, and leave a 30% tip (because of those prices if you're not increasing the percentage, the wonderful wait staff really get let down) all for under $60. Will I be back? I will. Honestly, if you were just going for lunch, it's hard to make a feeling lunch at home for the same price as you can get it there.

The place provides the option of indoor dining, patio seating (weather permitting) and is pet friendly. (Some places unfortunately don't allow pets even with a patio so always good to call ahead to check first). The server was nice and attentive and offered my friends dog some water without us asking. The only downside when it came to service was the wait time. When we got a seat it was only us and one other table but we still had to wait quite some time for our food. The food itself was quite yummy. I had a strawberry pecan salad with grilled chicken while my friend had their burger with a side of gravy. The ingredients in the strawberry salad was fresh, the nuts were nicely candied and the chicken was juicy. It was refreshing to eat on a hot day and I felt quite satisfied after. In terms of the burger and the ingredients that went into making it, it was simple but once again, the ingredients were fresh and that's what makes a great burger. The gravy was that came on the side with the burger was additional $1.50 but in my option it was well worth it and went amazing with the fries. I would definitely come back if I was in the area again but if I was in a rush I would just order take out. We each ordered a burger and it was great; nothing fancy but each topping was fresh. The bartender even remembered I ordered a side of pickles and rushed them to me. The side salad was nothing special but I was impressed that it had hand chopped carrots, then lettuce and tomato. We enjoyed talking to the bartender and other patrons while passing through but if I were a local, this would be my second home. PS the patrons said the wings were the best thing in the menu.

That's when they made their first appearance - I'm guessing it was because of the honey on the pizza - and they dissipated somewhat when the food was gone. Some candles would have been nice to help with our mosquito naivete but the restaurant didn't have any. We got a seasonal special of Niagara-on-the-Lakes peach caprese. They had me at peach, caprese, AND Niagara-on-the-Lakes (one of my favorite places). The dish consisted of peaches, bocconcini (small fresh mozzarella balls), cucumbers, and peach gazpacho. It was good but small and honestly I thought it would be better. We were told the aforementioned picante pizza (salami, fior di latte mozzarella, honey) was the most popular. The salami was cut too big so some bites were all salami and some bites were no salami. It was good but I'd get a different pizza in the future. There's a similar pizza ("the sweet and heat" at State of Mind) in Palo Alto near where I live that works a little better that's topped with bacon, jalapenos, and honey. The husband and daughter liked their margherita pizza. My favorite dish was the pappardelle with short rib ragu. Short ribs always make everything better. The ambiance is lovely and welcoming with a beautiful patio that features heaters for the cooler evenings. There is also live entertainment on some nights. The summer cocktail selection is impressive and we all enjoyed them to kick off the experience. The menu is quite limited which is not a bad thing for a restaurant focused on quality but I still found it to be a bit too limited. The wine selection is also quite limited. If you love your wines, like I do, I would bring my own and gladly pay the corkage fee. We had a little bit of everything from meats to pasta and fish. We shared for the table so that we each had the opportunity to try everything. There was nothing to complain about but it didn't "wow" us. In speaking with some longtime locals, I think the popularity of this place has meant that they no longer need to go above and beyond to satisfy the local crowd and cottagers who don't mind spending a lot on a nice night out.
