I lived here for 3 1/2 years. I stayed only because it was affordable at the time being. They raised my rent by $500 without notice. Forcing me and my family to move out. The apartment has roaches and also mold growing under the tiles. When I complained about these issues I never got a response and when I did all the maintenance guy did was glue my tile back on top of the mold. If you like drug users doing drugs in front of your apartment, apartment vandalized, graffiti at stairways and your car stolen and vandalized 3 times in 1 year this is the perfect place for you.... lol the laundry area always has drug addicts chilling in there doing drugs and charging their phones. My window screen was ripped out at nite and security does nothing about people hanging in front of your apartment. The doors of a lot apartments like mine are all previous busted open with cracks on the side. Maintenance will come in your apartment with out your consent for non emergency repair and just say sorry after they did it.....smh...the community is not a great place for kids. To much going on here...... The only thing I can say good about this place is recently the Apartment manager Jessica that was very rude and unprofessional is gone and was replaced with Frank. On the Maintenance and repair side..Frank is on top of all of that and is definitely a great repair and maintenance man. The previous maintenance man Tony was terrible. He didn't even fix things but made them worse....smh...but on the business side....no comment lol...all I can say is we had some disagreements but still is a nice person. read more

This apartment complex has horrible communication!! I applied September of 2022 for an apartment that said ready to move in. I went to go look at the apartment and not even close to being ready. I then cancelled my application same day!!when you cancel you get a refund on deposit. I am still waiting on my $100 refund!! Since September. I tried to contact them multiple times and when I finally got someone she claimed check was sent in mail. Waited and nothing! I called again ,took another long time to reach someone ! They told me I will have to go to a 3rd party to get my money!!! It's $100 bucks! They can't even give my money back! I tried the 3rd party and nothing still! I called again today 9/18/23 mailbox is full and nobody to help! Please I just want my money back! This complex are thief's scammers and don't communicate back. The apartment owners are slum lords they do things illegally and perform so much plumbing with out proper permits I used to be a tenant here and never got the proper maintenance I saw black water come out my kitchen sink and shower please tell me how that is sanitary. Do not rent here their only interest is renting to people of high-class with extremely out dated apartments they have no amenities and are extremely rude there were no upgrades within the time frame that I lived there. I experienced so many car break ins shootings even the pizza man was robbed before my eyes once the fence is constantly left open so many drug dealers live on the actual premises and have things constantly falling like trees branches there was even a fire. They don't have your best interest besides trapping you into a lease and raising your rent and collecting utilities at the most ultimate high with no real explanation. I submitted an application and placed a holding deposit. When you place a holding deposit, you only have 72 hours to cancel your application and get your refund for the holding deposit. I've been calling and emailing the property repeatedly throughout the day and no one is answering the phone or responding to emails. They are still posting ads on craigslist and Facebook marketplace, but not responding to their applicants. I emailed the property again, this time to cancel my application and request my deposit back. I can't imagine how the actual residents are treated, If this is how they treat someone whose money they are trying to get. Me and my husband were interested in their townhouse unit so i call in to inquire about it, they claim that they respond immediately back by text so i text management thats bull shit because we had not got any response from management. We even went to the apartment hoping to talk with someone to set up an appointment no1 was there. The maintenance guy took my husband to the manager's apartment (not an office) but her apartment unit to speak to her but she was not there. That was a red flag right there, the manager did not response until later the next day through text which I told her too late we have to view the unit another time after a week, we eventually had finally set up a tour. the outside was kinda dirty with all the trash around by the huge dumpster bin in parking lot by entrance gate, not enough future residents parking tenants park on them all so we had to park on the red zone. I had ask manager about townhouse they posted she said it was not available yet & said its still occupied by tenants, im thinking why tf did you post it then if there still tenants living there and your post says its ready? so anyways she proceeded to show us a 3bd unit and a 2 bd unit, all were nice but we mainly wanted to see the townhouse which she said it wont be ready unit may 10th next following week management text me & claims the owner has dropped the rent for the 3bd of 1900 to 1850. to hurry up and rent b4 its gone. I kinda wanted to but again we wanted the tow house instead which i made clear to her prior and again. Then when it came close to the 10th of may I text manager to confirm viewing of town house she then said it would not be ready until the 17th, and said the 3bd has been RENTED out. so i text and try to set up a time view the townhouse on the 17th she stop responding. I email her text her no response, she then couple days later said the townhouse was rented, im like how when u claim its not ready until the 17th due to maintenance work. she then said that the 3bd is still available to rent I was so confused because she did say it was rented now its available like wtf! its like she kept pushing us to rent out the 3bd, I had requested that she call me so we talk about it and I can understand wth going on SHE AGAIN NO RESPONSE, she says one thing and says another and changes shit. Again no response, im thinking damn and Jessica the manager?how? she very unprofessional and careless very lousy in my opinion in managing a small apartment complex my husband and I dnt understand how she became the manager. thanks to her lousy and unprofessional lack of communication and attitude, we decided to look up forest glenn reviews on yelp and thank God we did not rent. base on our experience and the reviews on there it all matches and add up and confirm. I've tried applying here for the last month, for the first half I called the number on their website over 6 times and nothing, I called first thing on their website schedule to call, nothing. I called between and towards the end, nothing. I left multiple emails with messages trying to get information and surprise nothing. It's like they don't want you to apply to their apartments at all. The third part verification company they use isn't helpful either, out of the 4 people I talked to only one of them was helpful, the rest were rude and unhelpful. Trying to verify my employment was a pain because after emailing my boss forms to complete they still "hadn't received it" even after multiple calls from my boss and picture evidence from him showing he couldn't submit because he was only allowed to submit one, they told me "sorry but we haven't received anything and we can't confirm through cellphone only landline" I don't know many businesses with landlines still. Honestly me and my roommate were excited to move here but after dealing with poor customer service and such a crap job of their third party verification service, I'll be happy to live at a better apartment complex read more

Poor business ethics, constant raise of rent if tenant complains of non functional appliances, or water emergencies when flooding or leaking of pipes into units. Which occurs frequently then the management wants to blame tenant because of damage compensation. Reasons for raising rents is so called what the rent is going for. They send people into unit leaving dirt or mud from work jobs in unit. How can rent jump from 735 to $1600 + in 2-3 years. Management does not assist tenants to accommodate them in opening a gate than see a tenant to move if they want to move out. Tenant had car towed because someone was in their parking space so tenant parked along fence and management did not warn tenant but had their car towed. I feel if a tenant paid on time, didn't have loud music, friends smoking drugs in walkway. They should work with them. read more

Please do not rent from this place! It is a waste of time. They will show you a nice unit but try to squeeze all the money out of you. $44 for a credit check?! When they don't actually even run the credit check. Told me that I had a score in the 400s when I had a recent (3 days ago) legitimate copy of my credit score from all three credit bureaus in the high 600s. They give you some fake credit score so they can pocket the application fee. They are dishonest and it seems that they are taking advantage of people. They ask for $100 "refundable" holding deposit but you'll have to go through hoops to get it back. The apartment we moved it to is a nice one bedroom hardwood floors and carpeting in the bed room rent here is fair for the bay area were the prices are going up by day but still on the outside it looks OK could be keep up a little better buy hey its a one person show with all said I couldn't be happier with the move. read more

Well, where ever should I start. When we first moved in 2010, the place was run efficiently, when you had a maintenance issue, it was handled by the next day. Or if an extreme emergency, plumbing for example, they called in a plumbing service to handle it. Our car was STOLEN back in March, 2016, which should never have happened w/ our electric gates, locked doors @ entries to the property, which is always opened due to the riff raff that come and go, and and who hang around outside certain apartments that you know are engaging in illegal activities, of one type or another. There are SECURITY Cameras, but not all monitors are even working, and the few that are working are constantly tampered w/ so that the angle of the camera is obscured, and does not show anything useful in monitoring the premises. Make sure your vehicle has an alarm system, or @ the very least, get a CLUB for your steering wheel. The property boasts 4 Laundry Rooms on the premises. You can forget about reliable equipment, the washers and dryers are seldom working, and if they are, you might be so lucky to find human fesies inside the washer or drier, or if you're really lucky - both! You're more than likely to find your self LOCKED Out of the Laundry Rooms, and your key for the laundry rooms, which are also the key for the gated entry ways into the property, no longer open up the Laundry Rooms. The manager changed locks so only he can open up the rooms, an attempt to keep certain individuals from using the rooms to do some type of drugs, and to stop them from vandalizing the machines, or writing on the walls. There are tooo many negative things to say about Forest Glen Apartments. The only thing good I can say is: "The rooms/apartments are big and roomy". So word to the wise: LOOK somewhere else and don't get an apartment here. There are many better apartments for the same rent, and AVOID the headaches of living here. read more

I was there for a year. When I first viewed it was nice and quiet. I guess because everyone was gone to work. But agree being there the first night it wasn't so quiet. The walls are super thin. You can hear conversations and whatever your neighbors are watching. Maintenance was not the best. My front door was never fixed. So my front door was never fully secured. My doorbell was never fixed. Maintenance lost my key or just kept it. So every time I come home from work I would check my place. Patrol is never there when needed. And never came to check on me when I called about a drunk bleeding man trying to open my door at 4 in the am. Police didn't come either. They just called back to check if he left. Management is never in office at work hours and never answers. Management is rude. I called one day and got hung up on. I called back and no answer or call back. When I moved out I made sure the apartment was left the way it was when I moved in I made sure carpets were cleaned and vacuumed. Bathroom, bedrooms, living room and kitchen was spotless I even swept the leaves off the patio. And management did me wrong with my deposit. read more

I didnt get mine back until I threatened to sue them and then when I did get it back they had taken an unbelieveable $430. out of my deposit and after numerous call's that they will not return I still dont know why ,so I still will have to take them to court. They charged me $145 to have some one clean an aprtment that I was only in for 3 months ! & left spotless ! which according to state law is illegal. While I was in the office once a couple came in DEMANDING their security deposit back saying it had been two months , So be fore warned security deposits are to be returned to you WITHIN 21 days ! & with the interest that was accumilated. this Horizon Management Co doesnt seem to adhere to the law of CA. landlord/tenant laws read more

I really don't want to give this place 1 star. I came by on Saturday Feb. 7, 2015 to look at a apartment. First off there is NO guest parking. I couldn't get past all of the trash, Christmas trees, and furniture piled up outside of the dumpsters. I decided to take a stroll through the complex on my way to the office. I almost fell numerous times from different areas where the ground is lifted and uneven (total safety issue). Benches are leaning with nails exposed. The smell and sight of dog crab is everywhere. I surely thought I was in the wrong complex considering the Craigslist ad made them sound like they are a top of the line complex. I finally make it to the office to find no one in the office. I seen a couple of guys outside of the office and asked if they knew when the manager would be back. They told me good luck that they are hardly around and pretty much useless. I asked them what they thought about the complex and was given some rather alarming answers. Basically do not move here. The plumbing sucks (takes 2-3 days) to get a plumber, they are calling these remodels but only certain things are being updated and not all apartments are being remolded. I was in shock when they mentioned if I smoke weed I would be able to grow in the apartment that management doesn't care and numerous people are currently growing. On that note I decided to make my exit. For them to be charging 1297 for a 2 bedroom I am in total disbelieve on how anyone is renting in this ghetto.
