Then I had one driver that…read morewould always pick me up and once was 25 mins early and continuously rang me every 5 mins to see I was ready, also over time I realised he was overcharging me, roughly nearly a pound more than other drivers then what made me never use this company again, he started the meter at £4.30 and for a 2 mile journey charged me £9 which is massively different and told me I had to pay, I felt intimidated and would never recommend this firm! I was a regular for months and the longer you use them, the more money you'll end up paying! do not ever use!!

They charged me this each way, rather than cause a scene I paid up because it was mum's birthday. I rang the company yesterday they admitted they had quoted my the wrong price but it wasn't my fault and I would get my £40 reimbursed as I wasn't quoted £80. I rang the manager this morning who crawled up his own backside said it wasn't his fault and there would be no £40 refund. This was an expensive experience, where I was polight to the driver but obviously this is a very underhand company!

i used this firm for 18 years and up until recently they were the only taxi firm if you lived in…read morekirkby buthaving booked a few cabs from them recently and i have to tell you they have changed (i very much doubt they will allow this honest review)recently there are alot of oasis drivers that dont speak a word of english i had a cab not more than two weeks ago and asked to be taken to church street alfreton we ended up at church street somercoats when we tried to communicate this to the driver he just shrugged his shoulders and showed us the sat nav, which although he had entered the correct postcode was wrong.by the time we had asked a passer by for directions and finally got there it cost us £13 for a fare that should of been £9 on the homeward journey we took an amber taxi which cost £8.75 so if you want to get lost use oasis. the next time i booked an oasis cab was barly 2 weeks ago this time we were going to somercoats dentist and for that trip we called an amber ca b but my wife needed some alergy medicine before i went so as i knew my amber taxi was not until 11.15 i decided to grab an oasis taxi upto coop and back which is a 5 min journey each way the oasis dispatcher i phoned at 10.20 said it would be 20 mins so i said ok but i have a n important appointment i must get to so please be on time. ok the despacher said dont worry. so i waited 30 mins later at10.50 i called again saying where is my taxi its late sorry he said its on the way so i figured if it goto me straight away i could make it . dont worry the operator said he be there soon so again i waited 11.00 oclok came and the amber taxi arrived 15mins early by this time oasis are now a full 20 mins late beyonsd the 20 mins they said it would take so i decided i would ask the amber driver to take me quickly before we left for the dentist he agreed so on the way to coop i phone oasis again adn i say im sorry but the tax i booked for 10.40 is way too late so i have to leave please cancel its on mill lane the operator insisted im sorry im already on my way your twenty odd minuets late with that he yelled down the phone don't book again. so finally if you want a taxi firm that will get you lost with drivers that dont speak a word of english that will be very late then blame you and tell you off for their lateness then oasis is for you if however you want a reliable taxi use anyone but oasis. IF YOU WORK IN IMMIGRATION YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK THIS FIRM FOR ILLEGALS AS SO MANY DRIVERS DONT SPEAK ENGLISH

When I queried this the "management team" / receptionist was incredibly rude and claimed she told me the price when I booked. She definitely did not tell me the price or I wouldn't have booked this company. Our friends did the same journey same time with a competitor and paid 10 quid. This company are taking advantage. We cancelled the return journey and booked a competitor who had much more flexibility with times and picked us up in the early hours the following day for 15 quid.
