The neurologist I was seeing recommended a MRI before making a diagnosis. I completed the MRI (3 long hours in the MRI tube without moving!) and met with the neurologist for a clinical consultation. He basically told me that for a person my age (32 years old at the time) my spinal disks were wearing normally. My response to him was "why am I having such severe pain down my lower back and legs?" The neurologist said he did not know why I had the pain, but my spinal disks were normal. $5,000 for the the MRI and consultation, just to be told my spine is normal. I was referred to Dr. Moellendorf a few weeks later by a friend. After the initial consultation and exam, Dr. Moellendorf determined my hips were uneven, I had a subluxation in my neck and lower back, and a couple lower disks were 'stuck' together. All this in addition to my sciatica! After a few treatments, the pain in my lower back and legs began to subside. Fast forward 15 years, I am living a normal physical life with very few spinal issues. I thank Dr. Moellendorf and his staff for taking the time to treat me as a patient and not as a source of revenue. His use of an air actuator to manipulate specific areas of the skeletal system is painless and very precise. I prefer this method over more traditional manual manipulation methods used by other chiropractors. I highly recommend a visit to see Dr. Moellendorf.
