This barbershop has been around for a long time. Just about every time I've been there there's been four barbers on duty. I've had mixed results when talking about all four but I've settled on one particular barber who does a consistently pretty good job on my hair. It's not always quite the level of precision that I would like to see but it's always been good enough. They do have lower prices for seniors. Overall I'd say it's a pretty solid choice. read more

All hat over hyped shop if you know what I mean. Hyper sensitive barbers who complain about being overworked. Rude to customers. Waited a long time got not haircut. Too busy. Unless you're a local regular skip it got a great hair cut down the road with no wait. read more

My son has been wanting a "vintage cut" ever since he visited Supulpa's classic car show! So I once again consulted my yelp crystal ball and Ford's barbershop was revealed. Ford's is a old time barber shop on 31st and Harvard. With its red and white striped pole acting as a beacon you can't miss it. They don't take reservations and they are cash only so know that going in. Also they take their time with you which is good but don't be in a rush. Cuts last around 45 minutes. We were very pleased and will definitely be back. The attention to detail was so fun for my son. I really appreciate all the time and care they take on every haircut. I'm also telling my dad about it who is over 65 years old and qualifies for the $10 haircut! read more

Best haircut in Tulsa hands down. Will have to wait upwards of an hour but worth it. They do not take appointments.

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. But let me be clear, this ain't no salon, and they ain't stylists or hairdressers. They are real deal, old school, no f-ing around, badass BARBERS!!! If I could figure out how to drive here from Colorado every 3 weeks, I would!! I've been wearing a pompadour for 20yrs. And this is by far the best one I've ever had. Walk-in only, Bring cash, expect to wait(it's worth it). And get an old school experience, like I'd get when I was a kid(I'm old). This place reminds me of where my dad took me back in the 70's Real Barber shops are a dying breed in this crazy world we live in. And these guys are carrying the torch, hopefully to a new generation of men to enjoy. read more

My experience at this shop was all around excellent. I liked that they are walk-in only and worked fast. I left with a well executed haircut at a very fair price read more

I heard about this place by spotting a card under the glass table top at the Golden Gate Chinese restaurant. I thought what the heck...... Best decision of my week. These guys know how to give gentlemen the full barber experience. No rushing or hurried work from these craftsmen. They take their time not missing one hair and finish you off with a hot foam shave of your nape and a splash of aftershave. Not only is the haircut great but the whole environment is an experience.....including the decor, music and conversation. Trust me gents. A treat. read more

No appointments, no credit cards. But they do a good job and fast. Also good Music! I give Ford's a thumbs up

I've been going to Ford's since before they moved to Ranch Acres and I've never had anything other than a great haircut. It's a first come, first served, cash-only type of place, but all three barbers are masters at their craft and will make you look handsome every time. It's a retro style barber shop run by younger guys. Expect classic barber chairs, vintage Tulsa pics on the wall, a straight razor neck shave, a great music playlist that ranges from Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline to 80s rock and punk, and lively banter between barbers and clients. Other establishments go for for neo-retro vibe but often come off as too hipsterish or too kitschy or just charge too much. Ford's gets it just right. I've sat in a chair next to young guys, seniors, kids, a well known local musician, and a woman on the butch end of the spectrum. Anyone who appreciates traditional barbering needs to hit this place up; there's no cliquish, cooler-than-thou vibe here. Keep in mind, however, that it isn't Great Clips, they will take longer than 15 minutes to make sure they get your cut right. So come to relax and enjoy the comraderie, and be sure to bring something extra for a tip, these guys work hard to serve us. read more

Wish I could have gotten service from what is an obvious cool spot. So cool that it was slammed. I would have been willing to return had not been for the greeting of "we are full, you will have to wait outside." I had no problem with returning at a later time (two-hour wait) but sitting around the shop or in my vehicle... As a matter of fact, before going there I tried calling a couple of times with no answer. I would not be leaving this comment but for the lack of a helpful welcome... They were slammed and probably feeling a bit stressed. Still, I think the business owner should know. Even though I live out of town maybe someday in the near future I will attempt a scheduled return to experience the full-service of the Fords Barber Shop. read more

I took my 3 year old son there for his first haircut! He had long curly hair, so this momma was a nervous wreck! Chris was so good with him and did an amazing job. They even found me a little bag to save some of his hair. We will definitely be back!! read more

I found this place just a little short of two years ago and have been going here ever since. Casey is my barber and he is a perfectionist. I get a classy-looking gentleman's cut every time that is perfectly tapered to perfection. He really knows how to listen to what you want and will give you expert advice on what will work and will not work with your hair type. They take their time and they get every detail right. When I come in for a haircut and beard trim he will spend an hour on my hair and beard and always finishes the haircut with a hot lather straight razor shave around the neck and ears and even expertly styles my hair with pomade before I leave. You won't find a better barber shop in Tulsa. read more

Just moved to Tulsa from LA and as with any move comes the nerve wracking task of finding a new barber. After some extensive research, decided to try Fords on for size. Perfect fit! Everything about this place screams old school barber shop - history on the walls, banter in the chairs and I dig the sign in board (meaning if I show up and don't mind waiting, I'm getting a cut - no appointment bs). Got cut by John this time, but the vibe tells me that I can trust any barber available. Solid cut, extremely fair price (cash only, go prepared) and great folks. Can't ask for more. Definitely coming back for my next cut. read more

The place for a fantastic men's haircut and beard trim... each barber is a pro. I found my spot.

Thanks to J P for the recommendation. I've been looking for a proper place for a haircut for a while. Been to all of the chains in town. After my visit here, I know the difference. I went in on a busy Wednesday, when they only had two of their three chairs running (an abnormal occurrence). Though costumers continued to fill in while I was in the chair, I still felt like I was getting the full treatment and attention to detail I was promised. This guy was very down to earth, but clearly an experienced artist. Good atmosphere, cold air conditioning, great prices, best haircut I've had in a long time. read more

Great service! Take their time to do what you want. Doing it the old school way. Thanks guys for the tremendous work.

I sought out Fords barbershop after searching yelp. Sign on the window says walk-ins welcome. I walked in , three barbers were giving hair cuts, one was adjusting his equipment somehow. Not one spoke to me, i went in the restroom, came back out and had a seat, the one guy kept fiddling with his equipment, never acknowledging that I might be waiting. This appeared to be a very Indifferent place, very rude, unfriendly atmosphere. I will never darken their door again! read more

Great place. You may have to wait awhile but it's worth it. Very personable barbers. Great price. Great work.

I have been coming here to get my ears lowered since they opened up. Just a great old school atmosphere, great barbers, and good conversations. I always have Casey cut my hair but John and Chris are awesome as well. It kinda reminds me of Pops barbershop from the show Luke Cage on Netflix. I would and have recommended this place to all my guy friends. Sorry lady's they only specialize in dude cuts. read more

Great barber shop! I am going to write this on behalf of my husband and step son. They LOVE this place. Even when the line is out the door they patiently wait. read more

In town on a work trip and needed a long overdue cut. Walked in, waited about 2 minutes and then proceeded to get the best haircut I've had in my life. Some reviews complain about it taking too long, but do you really want someone to hurry when cutting your hair?! The attention to detail is incredible, even when I asked them to change up my cut at the very end. Wish I had a barber shop this good back home! read more

Needed a new barbershop. Very retro, great music, great barbers. Dropped in without an appointment and any of those guys can cut hair very well! read more

These guys give a great cut. But if your not in their click you will be punished. As for me I vote with my dollars. There are tons of great barbers in town and these guys will never see another penny from me. read more

I found this barber shop about 4 months ago by looking at yelp ratings and based on the high remarks and the fact that you don't need an appointment, thought I would give it a shot. I have been to several places in town for a haircut and these barbers (all of them have cut my hair) are top in their profession. They take their time listening to what you want and then take their time to give you a haircut that exceeds your expectations. They give attention to even the smallest details and are focused on what they are doing. It doesn't matter if there is one person waiting or 10 they maintain the same amount of attention and focus on the guy sitting in their chair. If there is a wait, it is well worth waiting for your turn. They are excellent at trimming beards too. Until now It has been hard for me to find barbers in Tulsa who are good at trimming my beard like I want it. The shop and atmosphere alone is awesome. You are in a BARBER SHOP that has the look and feel the way they are supposed to. Whether you are looking for a barber shop or not, I recommend you give these barbers a chance you won't be disappointed...I never have and I have had several haircuts and beard trims from these barbers. They also have very reasonable prices. read more
