When I got his bill for all the time, labor, and materials, I realized he would put every competitor out of business and his quality is outstanding. I had to have another estimate due to the city of Macomb on my back, and I thought estimates were free. In the past, I never had to pay for an estimate. This last time I was charged over 300 dollars and he did no repairs. I got an estimate for a ton of work that I did not ask about. I still owe Hollister's for that. I am 68. I live alone and owe them. I live off of social security. I'm sick with a progressive disease, and it just doesn't feel right that this business that makes more than enough money does this. I had plumbing work done previously where the wall had to be opened up to fix the leak. Maybe I am just stupid, but I thought they would repair the wall. NO! They would not. Oh, they would if I would pay for it to be fixed. I just feel that if you do the job that is part of it. Macomb has been a horrible place to get repairs done .

I was recommened EPH for a plumbing issue so I called them, on first vist they came out and…read morediagnosed the issue. Offered me a solution which I agreed with and they said they could come out the same day and get it done. This didn't happen. They told me one date which they then pushed back further, so over 2 weeks after the initial visit they came out and did the repair. They replaced a large section of cast-iron sewer pipes in my basement. Initially, everything seemed ok but after a couple weeks, the same issue we called about started again (leaking through our kitchen ceiling after the upstairs toilet became blocked), and also an additional sewage smell from the downstairs toilet. I called them about it, I was told they would call me back. Nothing. So I called them again and they were 'not sure why a sewage smell would be coming from the toilet'. In regard to the leaking issue, they again said they would call me back. To this day they have yet to call me back and I am done having to follow up with them. I re-seated the downstairs toilet and the smell is now gone, the upstairs toilet wasn't even secured (bolts were left loose), they left quite a mess in the basement too. They basically took the money and ran, almost $3000, of which $2100 was labor and I honestly believe they over-charged for that. They were not at my property for that amount of time. I would not recommend this company, not reliable and certainly don't seem to have any sense of customer service.

We were listing our home for sale much sooner than anticipated." I received a call Monday morning saying they received my message and they could schedule us that day as they had just had a cancellation that was actually for our area. By 11:00 Am that day the service person, TJ came out and cleaned the AC compressor and gas insert and glass. I was thrilled when I saw how fabulous the fireplace looked. I do not recommend doing business with Colony. While the service technicians are polite and nice…read morethe company does not support the customers, product and warranty work. We have also found out their pricing is expensive. For one repair, they told us it generally takes 30-60 minutes; however, they charge everyone for 8 hours' worth of labor in case it takes that long as an OCCASIONAL job has taken that long. So, you pay for an 8-hour job, it takes them 1 hour and then they move to the next job and get paid again for their time that has already been paid by another customer. Our furnace is less then 10 years with a 10-year warranty. The control board failed and they will not cover the part under a warranty even though it is a known problem yet not defined as a recallable defect covered by the warranty. Trane has published a work around for the issue which Colony performed yet Colony & Trane point fingers at each other on whether the fix was installed correctly or not so neither will cover the part damage. They are charging 50% more for the part than a competitor and wouldn't even give a discount or offer to give us the part at cost even though we have a paid service contract with them which is also overpriced. Never buy a Trane furnace/air conditioner from them. They promised the service manager would call to see what could be done and we never received a phone call. They were unwilling to do anything to fight to get the part covered by the warranty even though it was clear that we could not have caused the damage. There are better options out on the marketplace.
