They don't plan very well when they know a math teacher will be in maternity leave amd have gotten subs that can't answer geometry questions. Several kids were failing that year. They also have had a new Spanish teacher the last five years, one of which was teaching a different dialect from what most HS in this area teach amd he was difficult to understand, even as someone who is fluent in Spanish. Another time was super unorganized and my child didn't learn much and another of which my child had to help her with certain words in Spanish I! They also don't offer a lot of the classes other private schools are able to at least compete with public schools. Also admin doesn't like to deal with problems and like to turn their back on them or ignore them as though they don't exist. K-6 was good but I would highly recommend going somewhere else 7-12th. If you do put your kid here for secondary be prepared for the fact that there are still the same problems that other schools have, kids doing drugs and alcohol, fighting, name calling, bullying, threats, sexting, drama, and kids engaging in sexual activity. Oh and none of their sports teams are very good and there's no cuts so everyone gets to play so it's not competitive at all.

Looks good, but the janitorial/grounds staff isn't very competent, yet IS unhelpful, demeaning,…read moreunprofessional, and rude. I was a visitor there once, but I made a mistake when their rerouted traffic path was unclear. I was trying to get their attention to ask, but multiple staff members were content to ignore me. So I carefully chose a path that was not blocked and had other cars there, but this, unfortunately, got their fast and disrespectful attention. It was beyond unwelcoming and well into hostility, and my kids were with me; we left immediately. Very negative experience for this community. Heads up, they cannot extend goodwill, so extend yours to them you in the knowledge it wont be reciprocated. I hope the students there are able to have better examples modeled for them. I'm sorry they were frustrated; their frustration could have been justified. It wasn't clear from their work what they wanted to have happen, but if you're an adult or an employee, you need to handle your frustration appropriately at the minimum.

FBLA, TSA, art club, drama club, all of them are supported, and the music department is phenomenal. 5 audition only music groups (2 bands, 3 choirs), and all of them are outstanding. The music teacher Mr. Sorenson is a love him or hate type of guy, but he does a fantastic job regardless. The atmosphere of the is much like a family, which the school really pushes for. AP Classes aren't quite as well supported, but they are planning some additions. The Drama department is the best in the area (not even exaggerating), they really are a step above normal high school theater. I truly am proud to call myself a Trojan. In the the students themselves are what make the experience, and the staff really push for us being accepting of everyone.
