It's been over a year and we still talk about it regularly. Outright offensive. The ER doc looked at me and called me a liar. Pulled my wife aside and told her I was a liar. THEN WHEN UW MADISON CONFIRMED I WASN'T THEY SAID NOT MY FAULT WE DIDN'T TEST FOR THAT. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. I was DYING. I was in the hospital for MONTHS. They put their inaccurate diagnosis on my chart and my initial care at the next hospital was USELESS. They misdiagnosed, billed some address In Michigan, I complained and instead of any resolution or apology they told me to pay my bill, which had been sent to collections because I NEVER RECEIVED IT. Only after confirming their error they said they would review it and never called me back, I asked for an itemized bill to review with insurance, they never sent it and made me pay blindly while threatening to send it to collections.

I was informative at the clinic that same day after my ultrasound. I was alone because my husband was working and I did not expect this outcome. As he told me the only thing I could hear was the words "we see no heartbeat". He held my hand as I was sobbing and stood with me as I asked him questions. This unfortunately isn't my first rodeo, in my mind I am just another patient to him. What changed my mind completely was 2 days after I going into the hospital and DR.Weiss came in to talk to me before my D & C. Then they took me back started to put me to sleep DR.Weiss was right there I asked in a soft voice "can you please pray for me" He took my hand and started praying, that moment I knew I wasn't just another patient, he cares, he actually cares. Awful! I switched from aspirus to marshfield thinking they were a better option. I was wrong! I…read morewent for my annual exam and then received a bill for the cost of the preventative wellness exam. My wellness exam is covered under my insurance. Marshfield coded this incorrectly and not as a screening but instead as a diagnostic test. I am now stuck in there billing/dispute process that is never ending. I opened a review/dispute with Marshfield in July, never heard anything back. I called again in September and nothing was ever reviewed or completed. I was told by the woman I spoke with in July that I would receive a letter as to what the dispute result was. I spoke with the billing supervisor, they elevated the level for the dispute. I was told to call back in 3 weeks to find out if anything has been done. I have called back multiple times and even requested that I receive a call back from the supervisor. Each time I call, I have received different information. One woman said the review was complete and code was changed. I called my insurance company, it was not. Another woman said I needed to send my EOB, not true, then next woman said the review board has 30 days to review since the elevated response was given. I also was told that a supervisor has 5 business days to call back after a call back request was made. I have not received that. I am still in the limbo of the billing department. My friend recently mentioned she had a similar experience and it took 10 months to get it resolved! My experience with Marshfield clinic has been awful.

This center is across the street from Aspirus Hospital. (There are two hospitals in the Wausau metro area; the other is St. Clare's in Weston.) There are approx. 130 providers (physicians, NPs, PAs, etc.) in the Wausau Center. They are in a wide variety of specialties including the primary care specialties of Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. There is an urgent care department called Walk-In.
