Always rolls right into voice mail...lunch voice-mail is on well into the afternoon. Out of office voice mail is on throughout the day. Literally took WEEKS for someone to finally answer the phone and when they did, SHE got an attitude with ME after voicing my frustration about not being able to get through to the office. She then told me that she'd "pass my concerns along. Have a nice day" and hung up on me. When I immediately called back...straight to voice mail. The parking lot was a bit small and could potentially be tight if you're coming during the week (my appointment was on a holiday). The office is on the first floor to the right when you enter the building. If you pass the elevators you've gone too far. The sign is small and neutral with no windows on the door. You'll think you're in the wrong place, but you're fine. The door was unlocked. Enter and sign in. The seating area, past the sign in, is bright and clean. Dr. Nguh herself is friendly and a bit soft-spoken; however, she is thorough. I've had two other exams at another facility in Bowie and the difference was night and day. She actually asked relevant, probing follow-up questions and took the copies of my service treatment records I brought in to review as I already knew my records were older, handwritten, and largely unsearchable. The VA doesn't give us a choice in who we see for examiners. My first two were a dumpster fire and left me apprehensive about this one, but if you're lucky enough to get an exam here you're in good hands.

I wish this was the standard of care but I'm afraid the amount of time he spends with his patients is no longer supported by the American healthcare system. My children love their appointments and my five year old cried in the car recently because she couldn't go back for a year and she wanted more shots. That's not normal. It's just how good he is. I've seen people strapping kids down to administer even the oral vaccinations at a closer clinic where Dr. Darden plays with them and delivers it as close to no tears as you can get.
