They have been fantastic in every way for my family. The company is small enough that the management, nursing and caretaker team work together, are cohesive and informed of what's going on with my folks, and keep us informed when needed. They are accommodating, very responsive, easy to reach and work with, and deeply care about their clients. It really shows. My folks aren't easy to please, but they really like their caregivers, because Caring Heart does a great job of choosing caregivers who have compatibility with them, and who truly enjoy being caregivers and it's their career - not a side job or temporary contract. Even better, we will have the same caregivers for as long as we need them, which is so reassuring and makes it so much easier on our family and gives us great peace of mind. I've learned in this process that what really matters, is the quality, consistency and genuine caring of the caregivers and the management team, and Caring Heart has that heart. They are dedicated to providing the best care with the same caregivers week to week, who are very reliable. The reason I know this is because I've experienced it from the professional standpoint and the personal standpoint. I worked in case management for a local hospital for awhile. When I got ready to discharge patients home and knew they had insurance coverage for Providence Home Health, I breathed a sigh of relief. I knew absolutely what needed to be done would be done correctly and on time. The sigh of relief included knowing that any professional working with my former patients in their homes had good hearts and top-notch medical skills. My own stepmom had transplant surgery a number of years ago and had some years of health issues stemming from the transplant. I was there often when Providence Home Health professionals stopped by to help her out. They were often rays of sunshine in some bleak times for her. Over time, she got better and all is well now, but I don't believe that would have happened without Providence's expert home services. Besides their obvious superiority in the professionals they send out to the home, what puts them over the top are the folks they use in the administrative part of the business. Their case managers are long-time nurses who can really help you out with not only the medical issues but also the insurance issues. They are also outstanding communicators. The office staff is also excellent, knowledgeable, and caring. Most people have no idea what home healthcare even is until somebody they love is discharged from the hospital. I'm especially directing this review towards the hospice team that came into my patents's home to provide hands on care. We were very fortunate to have Alyssa, Trey, and La Sarita help us out. They were excellent communicators and very caring and competent. They exhibited great teamwork. They addressed our questions without making us feel like we were wasting their time. An additional note. After my Dad passed, just 13 days after entering hospice, my Mom did not want to sleep in her bedroom alone. Gracious Care Hospice made arrangements so we could keep my Dad's rented hospital bed so I could sleep next to her and hold her hand as she grieved the loss of her husband of 68 years. That act was outside of the hospice routine, but was a key to helping my Mom pass peacefully, 17 days later. Thank you, Gracious Care Hospice.

A Serious Warning to Families Seeking Reliable Care If you…read moreor a loved one needs consistent, dependable care, I strongly urge you to think carefully before choosing this agency. Families, please do not assume that the promises made during enrollment will translate into reliable care once services begin. Based on my experience, the consequences of that assumption can be extremely stressful and disruptive, especially for someone who is elderly, bedridden, or dependent on specialized assistance. Be sure to get their promises in writing before you sign on. Over the past six to seven weeks, my experience has been horrific and traumatic. When I signed up with this agency, I was assured they had "the perfect person" for me. Instead, I have been forced to work with and train seven different caregivers, repeatedly explaining my needs and daily routines. Just when I had finally become comfortable with a trained caregiver who understood my routine, that person was pulled from my care just before important medical appointments, forcing me to start over yet again. The constant turnover has disrupted my daily life and made an already difficult situation even more challenging. The consequences have gone beyond inconvenience. I have had to reschedule important appointments that were booked more than a week in advance because of staffing changes and the repeated need to train new caregivers. When you depend on others for your care, you cannot simply absorb these disruptions without serious consequences to your schedule, well-being, and peace of mind. Communication has been another major problem. When I call for answers, I find myself dealing with multiple new representatives who do not appear to communicate with one another. I receive conflicting information, promises that are not kept, and little meaningful resolution. Rather than providing support, the agency has added stress, confusion, and instability to my life. My warning to families is this: Ask hard questions before signing a contract. Find out how caregivers are trained, how staffing changes are handled, whether caregivers will be prepared for your loved one's specific needs, and what happens when an assigned caregiver is suddenly removed. Do not rely on verbal assurances alone. Make sure you understand how the agency will maintain continuity of care and protect your family's schedule if staffing problems arise. Based on my experience, you may find yourself training new caregivers repeatedly, sometimes several times a week. It has left me feeling as though I am training the agency's workforce myself while paying for a service that should provide competent, dependable care. Families already have enough to worry about when caring for a vulnerable loved one. You should not have to wonder who will show up, repeatedly explain essential care routines, chase down answers, or rearrange important appointments because an agency cannot provide the consistency you were promised. The needs of the client should come first, not the agency's staffing convenience. Please take this warning seriously if your loved one is bedridden or requires specialized, consistent care. Do your research, ask detailed questions, and carefully consider other options before making a commitment. Reliable caregiving is not a luxury; it is essential to a person's safety, dignity, and quality of life. Based on my experience, this is not a five-star agency. I would honestly give it two stars at best. Our most vulnerable family members deserve dependable care, honest communication, and respect. In my experience, this agency failed to deliver the consistency and peace of mind I was led to expect.
