I was in a hurry to make sure we parked to limo in front of my daughter school so my little girl and her friends would see, he didn't push paper work on me said we could do it while we waited at school. And then Not only was he ok with me putting a banner up he Help me put the banner up. He made my daughter and her friends feel super special. Very very well manners professional and interactive. Made us feel like family We went over the time we had scheduled, he didn't even seem made or upset. I gave him extra money for the OT he didn't even check it to make sure it was enough. It's true, you get what you pay for! $750 for two limos was too good to be true. Our wedding day was not the time for a company to mess up a schedule! We asked for two limo's on the day of our wedding. One in the morning to shuttle our Bridesmaids from the hotel to the church, as well as the Groomsmen from home to the church. We had a second limo after the ceremony to shuttle EVERYONE from the church to the reception site. For some reason, limo driver number one was under the impression there was a second limo picking up the Groomsmen that morning. By the time he figured it out, it was too late. My husband-to-be ended up driving himself to the church. NOT COOL!!! As soon as he dropped us off we asked him if he was headed to pick up the guys. He said, "No there is another limo getting them." Oh yea, the driver also did not have a sense of direction. He picked us up in San Leandro and the church is in Oakland. Why did he hop on 880S? I mean, we were all where we needed to be on time, so its all good. But let's just say those limo drivers did not receive tips. Plus we did not get the Red Carpet that was included in our package. We used this coming for my 29th birthday! Started out a small group and ended up being a huge group! Working with Vince was awesome! So easy to get ahold of, very accommodating and assuring that the night would be the best! As my group got larger he assured me that his party bus would be just fine size wise. The party bus is amazing. Super roomy. Stripper pole. TV's lights and a great sound system. For my birthday he also had pink balloons! Our driver Robert was above and beyond the best! The owner, Vince, is so rude & unprofessional. He gave us a quote which included tip. He then charged my credit card $120 over the quote, he stated that anything over 20 minutes late he charges a full hour. He then said that, "it's okay because you didn't tip"! We even bought him a bottle of wine at one of our stops. I'll never use them again and am so thankful for Yelp so that I can caution others not to use this awful company. UPDATE:As for Vince's comment below..It did state the overtime fees in the initial contract, however it was his comment about, "it's ok because you didn't tip" that was unprofessional. HORRIBLE!! SCAMMERS through and through!!!! My best friend's wedding's transportation was absolutely ruined when these incompetent assholes NEVER SHOWED, even after they ran my credit card already! When calling for status, they apparently claimed that I never reserved and they have no reservation for me what-so-ever. Ummm, I paid you, you took my money and sent me a confirmation and receipt. How the hell is that not a reservation!?!?!?!?! Vince is completely and utterly the most unprofessional as you can get. He sounds like he's sleeping or high or both. Tried to charge me more than what was agreed. He wound up going back on his quote after we sent him HIS OWN EMAIL that he had just sent 20 minutes prior. He apparently had no recollection of it and tried to pass off the originally quoted price as if he was doing me a favor. The day of, when they never showed, a woman by the name of Monica was a complete and total bitch and gave me the whole "you're shit out of luck" attitude and told us to car pool. WTF!?!?! Are you serious!?!?!?! I call Vince's cell phone number that I called when making the payment initially and it gets forwarded to Monica. I ask for a manager and Vince and she says there is absolutely no way she can get a hold of anyone. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Today marks the 3rd day I have called and called to speak with someone to get my money back and I have absolutely gotten NO RESPONSE. I will be handling this through my bank and/or through court if I have to. It's just not right! Generally, I would have said forget it just from the inital call but I trusted my friend, the bride, who did the research and apparently they are on David's Bridal's approved vendors. Well, I will definitely be speaking with David's Bridal all the way to corporate if I have to. Yeah...I think this place probably boils down to one of two kinds of reviews. One where you're so excited (prom/first time) that you're wowed and love it, or one where you know what's good - and know when a company's full of it. I'm gonna go with full of it. We chose these guys for our wedding 'cause we were on a budget and they offered a pretty good price. They were fine until they DIDN'T PICK UP the groomsmen. The driver who was supposed to get the men didn't know that he was supposed to pick us up and by the time he got everything straightened out (20 to 30 minutes), we were one hour from the wedding and he was at least a 40 minute round trip away. We had to drive ourselves there. Thankfully, they got the ladies there in time and my wife-to-be was happy, but this sort of amateurish ineptitude isn't acceptable when you're charging what you do to drive people around. One of our close friends planned a birthday excursion to Napa today and we had a blast! Limo driver showed up 10 minutes early ( George C) was such a patient man. We did not planned accordingly and had delays. Lucky George had his GPS and knowledge of the wineries. We made a few extra stops on the way there and a few stops coming back ( Pit stops) and he was cool about it. Overall a great experience, Limo was nice and clean! On 09/28/13, my Sweet daughter was sent out in a stretched nav with her most closest 13 friends for her sweet 16. I am very pleased on how professionally this event was taken care. I had received a call the night before from the driver, George, confirming details to the event. I was very pleased to have him arrive a bit early for photo taking, and asked the group of teenagers what music they would like to listen too. Obviously this made them feel special and excited that this service was for them. George also advised them that they had beverages ready to consume. I ordered a nice party bus for my daughters school dance and they sent me an OLD bus!!! It was raining and the roof leaked water, there was no air conditioning, the vents only blew hot air so the kids were so hot the boys actually had to take their shirts off. One kid got the pants of his tux ripped on a piece of metal that was sticking out of one of the seats. I thought I was getting a beautiful party bus like the ones shown on their webpage but that was not the case. The bus they send us was probably 25 years old. When I spoke with the owner, Vince, he was very rude and said "well you didn't ask the year of the bus you ordered". When you advertise new beautiful party busses on your website that is what people think they are going to get. Please don't use this company, they don't deserve business from honest people!!! read more

Wow, I am surprised that this company is still in business. I was researching to book a limo company for a friend's bachelorette party that I am planning and was amazed to get a quote from these people. Here is my story: I booked For Big Things limo service for my 30th birthday party 2 years ago. We requested a party bus, and we received a decent rate. We went to their location and checked out the party bus before we signed the contract. Everything seemed legit. While visiting with Vince and looking at the party bus, I asked him if he had heard about instances where limo companies have been taking people's money or having their vehicles reposessed due to hard economic times. He assured my husband and me that we had nothing to worry about. I was very happy with his sincerity and we decided to book the party bus. My friends and family and I were all waiting outside my house as the party bus pulled up front. We were all so excited! My daughter and son ran up to the party bus to check out the interior. The driver got out and came to me to sign the paperwork, and as I was looking over the paperwork, the bus left. It had been reposessed right in front of my house, nearly taking my daughter with it. I immediately called Vince, and all he could say was "This wasn't supposed to happen to you." Luckily, I contacted my bank and they credited the money back for me until I received my money back from the company (insurance in case they didn't refund my money) On a positive note, I did get my money back from the company. But my party plans were ruined as we tried to scramble enough vehicles together to get everyone to the restaurant, for which we were an hour late for our reservations due to the Party Bus Repo drama. read more

A friend secured them for a friend's birthday up to Napa. 1) Showed up 30-45 min late for pickup and wouldn't answer his phone. 2) Disappeared numerous times when we were tasting at the wineries 3) Driver was rude and gave us a big hassle about extending the time of the trip since there was so much traffic 4) We were charged for a security deposit for no apparent reason even after speaking to the owner and saying he would credit back our account. I would prefer to give this company no stars for the terrible way they treat their clients. I strongly advise anybody to think twice before using this company for limo transportation. My friends and I booked a limo service for a Napa event. The contract said 7 hours plus 1 hour free. We came out of the restaurant to find a different driver, our personal belongings gone from the car, the car had been used by others with dirty glasses in the car (not ours) and beer cans everywhere. The driver didn't communicate well to us and proceeded to get lost on the way back. The journey took an hour longer than it should have done to get home. Then, after all that the company charged me for 2 additional hours!!! When I called "Vince" who answers the phones there (not sure if he's the owner) he proceeded to tell me that it wasn't his problem and that's just the way it is. He was rude and very unprofessional and told me that he was not interested to hear my complaint as all sales were final. Unbelievable ! read more

I made arragements with For Big Things Limo for a wine tour in Amador County. As I was trying to work out the details I began to become very uncomfortable with responses I was getting. I did further investigation and found that they do not have a current carrier license with the pulic utilities commission. I was charged for a service that I cancelled once I found their license status. I have been fighting this since March for an April charter. It is very unfortunate that the reviews for this company are so inconsistent. In-spite of all the positive reviews I still want to include our story to help caution others and maybe let the owners of this company know that these issues need to be addressed. We had a pretty typical pick-up and drop off scheduled and the only positive thing I can say is that despite running behind the agreed upon schedule we arrived at the location right at the start of the ceremony. Literally, I walked straight from the door of the limo to the door of the church without a second to breath before going down the aisle. Our package came in under $500 and we had two separate pick-up locations (one for the groom+attendants and one for the bride+attendants) and two drop-offs: one at the church and then later at the reception. The entire trip, counting each leg of the route from pick-up to drop-off was just under 20 miles. The church, and two pick-up locations were all within 4 miles of one another. Without any traffic it would have taken 5 minutes to each pick-up location. Not complicated at all. First problem was that the driver DID NOT KNOW where he was going. I understand that you use a GPS navigation. But how on earth do you run a service that is dependent on getting people to the correct location when you can't figure out where to go. He went right when he should have gone left and left when he should have gone right. Whatever GPS system you use you need to find something better or have a way to check your directions to confirm it is taking you to the correct location. Second problem is the driver COULD NOT MANEUVER his vehicle. I understand a stretch limo is difficult and some turns and inclines are challenging but I do know there are techniques to help get you into and around those challenges. Third problem was the limo looked like it had seen better days and DID NOT HAVE AC. On a day when the heat was up to 95 degrees and guys were in tuxedos AC is very, very important. No where in our contract did it say that "vehicles are subject to a varying degree of condition" or "comfortable seating is a relative term". According to their website they advertise: "Luxury and style" - if sweaty and being late is luxurious and stylish then, they hit that one on the head. "Our clients always come first...", "...we are dedicated to giving responsive service...", and "...all hassle free" - No apologies were made for being late, needing directions, or for the lack of AC. In fact, he did not even introduce himself. I am willing to make allowance in certain circumstances, like maybe he was new, maybe he is not responsible for the condition of the vehicle, maybe we lucked out and got the bad apple of the bunch. But when you pay for a service and you are not satisfied a good company is willing to preserve their integrity and make some sort of compensation. Any is better than none and none is what we got. read more
