The job was not completed; the timeline kept getting pushed back. I was lied to about supply delays that were "holding things up" to find out the supplies were not ordered. The office manager lied and strung me along many times (per Lloyd's instruction, she says). My interactions with Lloyd--only two while I was trying to get the job done--were disrespectful, unprofessional, and angry on his part. As of yesterday, the office manager told me no one has heard from Lloyd, and she will no longer have a "phone" I can contact her on. I have no choice but to purchase the remaining supplies needed and hire someone else to complete the job I have already paid Black Hills Handyman, Lloyd Darling, to do.

We allowed him to remove gates from another property we owned to be used in this project. He took 3 gates worth over $200 and never installed those gates for us, being a no-show or claiming an emergency over 5 times. Then he wanted to charge us more than the original contract. We fired him for breach of contract and he still refused to issue us the $40 refund requested, even after we said he could keep the $200 gates. We had to dispute it with our credit card company. We were very kind to him and did not deserve this treatment.

Our deck kept getting pushed back again and again. We paid him over a year ago when we signed the…read morecontract. He finished the decking and contacted us regarding replacing the spindles. He showed up mid September and we didn't order enough. We found some on Amazon. He stated 'let me know when they come in and I'll be right over to finish'. That was the end of September. Again more delays. He finally came to finish them maybe in March. He did a terrible job!! The sequence of the spindles was not the same as the rest of the deck and he actually twisted the 4 x 4s. Gaps in the railings everywhere. We ended up hiring someone else to straighten out the mess he left. We requested he return the money it cost us to make it right but received no reply.
