Before my appointment, I received an…read moreexcessive number of communications -- five texts and two phone calls -- which felt overwhelming for something that could have been handled much more efficiently. In response, I simply texted back asking them to "please limit the number of calls/texts I receive". I felt this was a reasonable and polite request. However, when I arrived for my appointment, the dentist confronted me and stated that I was being rude and had an issue with his staff, which was both surprising and uncomfortable. To add to the frustration, I have previously received text messages from this office with incorrect appointment dates and times, which makes the volume of communication even more concerning rather than helpful. At no point was I disrespectful -- I was just asking for more streamlined and accurate communication. Being addressed this way by a provider was very uncomfortable especially since it was done at the beginning of the appointment.

I went home with nothing done. With no bill or front desk didn't offer any reasons . Ask for Doctor/Dentist to explain. Answer he was with another patient. I went home confused. Lack of communication. No unpleasant words had been exchanged. And My insurance covered anual visit and cleaning. So no harm just time lost for myself. But about two months later I received a bill for $14.00 With no service performed the day I went in. And if they felt that I owed them anything my insurance would have covered it 100%. Still not sure what happened.

It's been two weeks and we have had some questionable complications. We haven't called. I also was able to hear a scheduling conflict take place that apparently happens frequently. Apparently they booked someone or thought they had before us. That person never came in. When they called to check they discovered that, that person appointment was supposed to be a few weeks later. This also happened to my mother however it was reversed and had the wrong times as well. Sorry, I wouldn't reccomend them.

They also told me that I had to leave a blank check when I came for the actual procedure in case insurance didn't pay. I should have left immediately but I stayed for the initial exam. But after a nights sleep, I decided to cancel the appointment. I felt because I'm 75, I believe they were trying to take advantage of me. I think trying to take advantage of an older person is just sadistic. I wish I knew of a way to report this where some sort of legal action would apply. In research I have found that the dental industry is the least regulated medical profession and dentist who have a private practice are particularly inclined to take advantage of people because no one is looking over their shoulder. I wouldn't recommend this dentist.

What I appreciate about this team is they don't try to push anything on you or try to sell you on anything. I think we've all been to this places where all you feel is something else they want to do. I had the worst dental experience in my life at Cornerstone under the hands of Dr. Pate. I went in…read moreafter my dentist moved, because of a friends recommendation. Dr. Pate said I had a cavity in between two teeth and supposedly fixed them. When I went back because of discomfort his words were" oh there is a problem, and I need to re do the filling. He said he left bubbles in the filling that had to be redone. I had never heard of such a thing. He said I'm sorry, I wont charge you. However I got a bill for $676. I called the office 5 times and asked to speak to him, he finally called me and said he would look back at the records and call me back and that he was a "good Christian " and would see what he could do. He never did call me and I got another bill...so I sent three payments of 10 to his office in cash but when I got another bill the payments were not taken off. Today I got a letter from a collection agency and when I told her the story, she said, " call your attorney" this is not good and that they would put a hold on the collection until I pursued legal action . DON'T GO TO DR. PATE!!!!
