She's calming, soothing, stabilizing, grounding, and a rock - on which to lean, for emotional / neurological / physical strength via the modalities she practices, because she's in control of both her time management, as well as her emotions/feelings. For instance, I have struggled getting out her way the past few months, and have regrettably arrived late a few times to my appointments, yet she doesn't rush me, yet she maintains her own boundaries, by communicating with me that my tardiness cannot impact her own flow, for her other clients, so she logically adjusts my time, to accommodate my tardiness, which I respect. My bad, that I'm working on, however - as she also knows - I've had intense & overwhelming matters in my life the past few months, since I met her, so I also appreciate her non-judgment, in parallel. One of the things I love most about Amy, is that she's trained as a Western medicine trained RN, while also being trained as a Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncturist, thus she's the rare find who can practice the "both" approach, I prefer. She's incredibly knowledgable, and her awareness of meridians and chi has already helped me through some unique medical matters of late, that I will not share, due to my own privacy. Given what I have going on now, I'm grateful I found her, as I'll need/want to lean on her more, to get through the next few hurdles, and I'm also grateful she has experience with my upcoming journey, so she can coach/guide me through it.

27AUG2014 After 16…read moresessions here is my assessment. 1. Acupuncture does no harm. 2. I think it might be useful for muscle or nerve pain/problems. 3. If you think it will help then try it. It is affordable. 4. In my opinion, useless for relieving chemotherapy symptoms. Chemo drugs are nasty as they are trying to [almost, but not quite] kill you. Friday (09MAY2014). Acupuncture session at 1500. Saturday. Crappy mouth is reduced and I have a lot less fatigue. Was it: a. Acupuncture? b. Poisons excreted from my body? c. Both? d. Neither? I don't know. 02MAY2014 Very pleasant people. Took a lot a notes prior to my acupuncture. I feel very comfortable with them. Will see how it goes. Chemotherapy is nasty. I get loaded up with: Oxaliplatin, 5-fluoroucil, zofran, decadron, leucovorin every 2 weeks. The side effects are very unpleasant. I am hoping that acupuncture can alleviate some of the symptoms. Chemo mouth (aka crappy mouth). Food tastes bland. Carbohydrates taste like cardboard. Fatigue. 1-3 naps a day. Low platelet and white blood cell counts. The poison kills everything.

Booked a 90 minute massage via groupon for this location…read more Parking was a struggle with street only available parking. My massage was scheduled for 515. I arrived at 455 to fill out paper work. Nichole finally took me back around 515. I quickly undressed and laid down. She finally came back and stayed around 520. Literally 3 times I had to ask for lighter pressure. Nichole was super sweet but I shouldn't have to keep asking. The room was a little warm and the tribal music was causing anxiety a little. THE WORST PART was that my massage ended and when I checked my phone it was 637; therefore, my massage was 77 minutes when I paid for 90 minutes. I literally hate that.
