Most of the time they're a pretty good price and they do some great knock-offs of the more expensive styles people spend money on these days. In between the inexpensive styles and the understandably pricier Jeffrey Campbell lookalikes, are shoes that you could buy in other shoes stores for around the same price, but slightly better quality. The upside of No. 1 Shoes is that they do great deals occasionally, like getting a second pair for half price, with the added convenience of having shoes for every person of every age. I haven't seen anything in No. 1 Shoes that has struck me as a 'must-buy' lately, but it's a good alternative for those who don't want to spend too much on a pair of heels they won't wear more than a few times. The range here is huge and varies slightly between stores from what I've noticed; the range in Westfield has improved over the last few months too. It's a good stop for almost any shoe you're after, most notably their casual, school and work shoes.

A few Mothers I bumped into a couple of days ago complimented me on them assuming they were from Mi Piaci ;-). Personally I think there's a little something here for everyone; from the extreme fashionista right down to someone with a more modest preference in long term classics. Prices are actually decent and the quality is alot better than I expected. I've owned a few pairs of heels and sandals from novo over the years and they've always exceeded my expectations in durability.

The prices are reasonable and they have a great selection of shoes, whether it's something casual of formal that you're after. Novo does amazing boots, so it's my go-to place in the winter when I'm looking for a new pair for the season. I also like their range of flats, it's a good selection. I like flats that go with a lot of outfits and they've got great plain ones, but if you're wanting something with a few more bells and whistles, they accommodate for that too- its a win win really. Novo does handbags aswell- I don't own one but I have checked them out- pretty good quality if you ask me! They have the occasional deal where you can get a hangbad for a discounted price when you purchase a pair of shoes, so I'd definitely keep an eye out for that if you're after one.

At this point I was told that if I would like the show brought over to the Manukau store, I would need to pay for them. This is a departure from the usual transfer of goods to the store closest to the customer. I was told that if the shoes did not fit, or if I did not like them I would be able to get a refund. So I asked for size 13 and was told that Overland doesn't stock size 13's. The customer service agent, didn't seem too enthusiastic about trying to make a sale. They also didn't try to come up with solutions to my need for a pair of comfortable work footwear and that was before I had asked for a size 13 shoe. None of the usual questions were asked of me, I was actually left to try to make a purchase rather than the sale being pitched at me. In my previous life I've worked in RL on New Bond St, EC1. A sales associate with such a lackadaisical approach would have been told to pull their socks up! Won't be going back to Overland.

If you're looking for a bargain and a great day of shopping then Dressmart is the place for you!…read more Dressmart is a mall that houses over 100 stores and offers up to 70% off the normal retail price, all year round. No need to wait for end of season sales to be able to spend up large! My last trip to Dressmart I was looking for work clothes and ended up buying three dresses, a blouse, and a singlet top for $60 - a feat that just wouldn't happen anywhere else. However, my real find of the trip was the chunky wedge sandals I found in Glassons. Down from $59.99, I ended up purchasing them for $10, and when I took them to the counter found out accessories were buy one get one free, so ended up walking away with a great black flower hairclip for free as well! Talk about a happy shopper! Though predominantly a clothing outlet, Dressmart also houses eateries, sports shops, shoe shops, health and beauty stores and book stores. The only thing that is missing is a jewellery store, but when you're saving so much money on everything else I guess paying full price for jewellery isn't so bad! Located near Auckland transport stations and with lots of customer parking and a free shuttle service operating Monday-Friday between the mall and Auckland CBD, despite being in Onehunga Dressmart is easily accessible.

Also Dress smart Onehunga is home to the only outlet shop for Peter Alexander in New Zealand! Dress Mart really is the place to visit if you want to save money on branded items. It gets really busy on weekends though, so either be prepared, or come early. Sometimes I find myself getting a bit disoriented inside trying to find a particular shop, but that might just be me!
