i have been going to this practice for over 25 years have been seen by several doctors for my follow up from my ankle surgery which caused a permanent disability. they have been authorizing my handicap placard since i moved to florida in 1996. when i went in to get my renewal form signed and i was told he refused said he did not feel it was up to him to sign or ok the renewal he told me to find someone else to sign it. i will never go back to this practice again. read more

03/31/24 Dr Wilkins is a fantastic doctor. He's been my husband's podiatrist for years - starting with surgical treatment for bone spurs on both heels, and now for Diabetic foot issues - after He survived pancreatic cancer in 2021. I am deeply involved in my husband's care, as the health issues he has are severe. Most recently, my husband received shots in his feet in attempts to relieve his foot pain. The office staff are amazing as well, and we always leave smiling. I visited Dr Wilkins as a patient earlier this year. A persistent rash on the bottom of my feet has become uncomfortable. On the second visit I had, one of his front staff members was having a rough day. We visited for a few minutes, and when I got home, I asked my husband to drop off flowers to her to brighten her day. He dropped some flowers and lunch to her - She was out but received them upon her return. This past Thursday morning at 8:30 & 8:45 - we both had appointments. My rash biopsy returned with it being dermatitis, as the office called with the results and followed up with a prescription. His was much more important, as ongoing diabetic problems are plaguing him. As my husband was called back, I started to get up. The nurse told me she only wanted my husband. I was a little confused. She came to get me, and I asked her if I could be in with my husband so I could talk to the doctor about him. She told me that was against office policy, as my appointment (15 minutes after his) was in a different room. I tried to explain that I have a medical power of attorney and was involved in his care. She became very upset as we reached 'my room', and I sat down in confusion. I was in awe, as I've not been denied entrance to any of his appointments before. She was quite upset, told me to wait in THAT room, so I sat in the chair waiting for the doctor - in tears. My husband came into my room and told me that I had really upset the nurse. "How? By asking to be there when you talk to the doctor? Why is that so bad - I don't understand? Why is that so bad? My appointment doesn't matter as much - your appointment is dealing with your feet and diabetes." I was wiping away tears. My husband was in the doorway, and we heard "How dare she!" from the lobby. The nurse was expressing her unhappiness quite loudly with reception. How dare I what? Want to be involved in my husbands diabetic care? What is it that I did that was so terrible? This young lady was beside herself. I quietly walked to the front check out area, where the nurse was standing with her hands on her hips - visibly upset. I avoided making eye contact with her. I asked the checkout receptionist - 'Will you please cancel my appointment, and charge any missed appointment fees to our card?" I then walked out to my truck in tears. I still wasn't quite sure what had just happened. Doctor Wilkins hadn't even arrived yet. I wasn't disrespectful, I didn't raise my voice, I wasn't mean, I simply asked to be in with my husband while he talked with the doctor. Yesterday - Saturday March 30, 2024, I received a certified letter with return service provided from Dr Wilkins. I am being discharged as a patient - due to: Differences in our views of medical care, my dissatisfaction expressed, and my very unacceptable behavior towards his staff. The strangest part? I can accompany him to his appointments. I'm allowed in his room if I don't have an appointment. I'm allowed to talk to Dr Wilkins about his care, be informed and be treated as part of my husband's care team. While I would 100% recommend Dr Wilkins as a surgeon, as a fantastic doctor and a great guy over the years, the dramatic changes in office policies recently left me disappointed in the change. read more

My foot was infected walking barefoot on the beach, something I have done my entire life. I have had three operations and three years of care with Dr. Wilkins and staff. At times I thought I would lose my foot but Dr. Wilkins worked very hard to keep me in one piece. Eventually I lost two toes and two metatarsal bones which under the circumstances was the best scenario. I can do almost everything except run (I can run but my injure my foot). I still continue to see Dr. Wilkins and feel I can only improve. He is always thinking of ways to modify shoes, improve the patient experience and never give up. read more

After signing a document stating that I would pay when services were rendered, I was asked to pay a co-pay during check-in. I stated that I would pay after seeing the podiatrist. The podiatrist told me that because I would NOT pay at check-in, I could no longer be seen by the practice. I was given my patients records and dismissed! read more

Staff is not friendly. Wait time is 30-45 in the lobby. Another 1/2 in the room. Dr Goldstein not very friendly personality of a rock. Been in pain now over 8 months. Resolve nothing. Don't waste your time and money. read more

I recently visited the Foot and Ankle group in Cape Coral. I was a little nervous after having a torturous experience in my youth with another docor. All was great at the Foot and Ankle Group. I felt no pain what so ever. Dr. Jerold Goldstein was terrific! Great bed side manor, very personable. His staff is deightful. Highly reccomended! read more

Dr. Krista Howard opened my mom's foot for surgery and was apparently high because she forgot what she was doing. she did not complete the surgery she went in to do. Left 30 feet of suture in her ankle, refused to show her the follow up radiographs and falsified her medical record. My mother is facing amputation of her feet thanks to this quack. read more

From the moment I called to make my appointment, I felt very comfortable. I was super nervous as I had a pretty bad ingrown toenail. Kelsey, who answered the phone, reassured me and put me at ease. The day of my appointment, I was taken back to the exam room and Tammy came in. She was an absolute joy. She took her time with me and explained everything the doctor would probably do. Dr. Andrew then came into the room. Talk about a character!! Dr. Andrew asked me a lot of questions about my toe and then walked me through exactly what he was going to do. Here I am the day after feeling great!! I would certainly recommend the foot and ankle group to anyone looking for a great podiatrist. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We were told my son's appointment was at 230 so we arrived at 215 as he was a new patient. I filled out his paperwork, offered to pay my co-pay, which the declined, and then began to wait. Another 40 minutes passed before we were called back. The MA came in, looked at my son's feet and told us what the doctor would do WITHOUT THE DOCTOR EVEN STEPPING FOOT IN THE EXAM ROOM. Then we had to wait some more for the billing people to run my insurance only to come and tell me that the doctor REFUSED to see my son without paying almost $400 right then and there. I offered to pay my co-pay and sign a payment agreement for the difference but they refused and basically kicked us out. Clearly Dr. Klimowich only cares about money and not the well being of my son who clearly has an infection. I work in the healthcare field and am disgusted at this doctors lack of caring for his patients. The billing department wanted me to pay for services that we didn't even know were going to be able to be performed or not because the doctor REFUSED to come into the exam room and perform an exam. How can a medical assistant determine the type of treatment a patient should be receiving????????? I am disgusted by the doctor and this group. Never will I recommend them and once I confirm my son's infection I will be contacting an attorney for further advice. **Update** Mom son dies have a pretty nasty infection and has been placed on 10 days of antibiotics. The doctor I was able to get him into last minute wouldn't even touch him until he treated the infection. The doctor was also rather shocked at the lack of compassion shown for my son by the other physician who wouldn't even see him without me paying upfront. In the end it sounds like he wouldn't have even been able to perform the services the MA felt should be performed. To bad the doctor couldn't even be bothers to assess the situation before demanding payment. read more

Staff was pleasant and efficient, however, after paying a $60.00 co-pay, getting foot xrays and assessment, the Dr. told me everything looked good, basically, so I left with same problem (a sudden onset non-movable big toe, NO pain, unable to bend ) and told to come back "as needed." Nothing changed, immobility of big toe persisted. To return would be another $60.00 co-pay, too. If you can't find the problem the first time, why not refer me out to a neuro/ortho or whichever specialty would be more likely to diagnose me? As a nurse of 35yrs. plus, I expected to be given a more honest discussion on what the next step would be, not "Motrin, ice and heat, and elevate." If that hadn't worked previously and I KNOW there was no trauma to the toe, why dismiss me with no referral to a higher level of expertise? Frustrated and angry; as a health professional disappointed with the lack of understanding on my concern over now having a "dead" toe with no other information. read more
