I have been with Dr. Grillo since 2003. We are a Military Family and I have seen my share of Podiatrists all around our wonderful country but I have to say that Dr. Grillo is by far the BEST!!! I have complicated medical conditions--Scleroderma and Raynaud's Diseases both can destroy and cripple your body and especially your feet. Dr. Grillo takes the time to investigate any issues his patients have and then works with you to keep your feet as healthy as they can be... He learned so much about both my diseases that he has even given talks to Scleroderma groups about we can keep our feet healthy. He is truly a wonderful, caring, compassionate Doctor who cares about all of his patients! His entire staff is fantastic, friendly and will try their upmost best to help you with any issue you may have... It is actually a pleasure to go to my appointments as I know I will feel so much better after I have seen Dr. Grillo and his staff because of the work they do on my feet. They all work wonders with my feet and they all make sure that I am a happy patient! If you are looking for a Doctor who cares about his patients and is kind, compassionate and a GREAT Podiatrist... then Dr. Grillo is who you are looking for... I am writing this review today because I saw Dr. Grillo and his staff yesterday and they took great care of my feet and made me feel so much better today! read more

I wanted to take this time to reflect on my experience with Dr. Grillo and his staff. I suffered with a fractured toe for twenty years. I am an avid runner and cyclist. Dr. Grillo was my second opinion and was highly recommended by my neighbor who recovered so well. My first appointment was like a stage performance with Dr. Grillo's office staff. Everyone had a part and all I could do is applaud them. They were very professional, friendly and experienced. Then I met Dr. Grillo who took his time answering my questions and explaining the pros and cons of surgery. He thoroughly explained my X-ray. I left his office with a feeling of relief and trust. He is extremely passionate about patient care. Expect him to take X-rays, suggest medical boots, medical shoes, compression socks, sneakers, provide his cell phone number for after hours, crack jokes, be serious and straight up. I am doing extremely well. No pain and back to my cycling. It is truly a miracle. Thank Dr. Grillo! read more

As a teacher I am on my feet all day. For the past two years my foot pain has been increasingly worse. I thought it was just Plantar Fasciitis. Under Dr. Grillo's care he discovered a torn tendon in my ankle. After trying all non-invasive procedures, Dr. Grillo told me that surgery was my best option. I was beyond sad because I knew how difficult this would be during the school year. From the get go, Dr. Grillo was so helpful and accommodating. His main concern was for me, not my work or my insurance - me! He even came in two days after my surgery on a Saturday to change my bandages - on Christmas Eve! Dr. Grillo cares about the whole patient! His staff is so kind and friendly. I just can't say enough about how thankful I am to him! Yes, the recovery was long and every bit as inconvenient as he said it would be, but I am so thankful to him for guiding me through it every "step" of the way! Sherry S. read more

When my regular podiatrist was booked a couple of weeks out and unable to fit me in for a painful foot condition, Dr. Grillo made time for me. I was so impressed with his office staff. From the first phone call, they treated me as if I was a long-time patient and friend. I found Dr. Grillo to be knowledgeable, professional, and direct (like a friend would be), yet also very compassionate and caring. He took plenty of time with me, explained things very clearly, and ordered the necessary tests. I especially appreciated his desire to begin with the most conservative approach to healing this condition, even though it is possible that surgery may be necessary in the future. I feel confident in Dr. Grillo's expertise and determination. I also appreciated that he took the time to actually read my health paperwork and make decisions based on the whole person rather than just the foot. I highly recommend this doctor. read more

Everybody there is very friendly. They create a comfortable environment and homey feel. I never have to wait long to get into a room or to see Dr. Grillo. Dr. Grillo is a very straight forward, no nonsense doctor. I appreciate this because he will not beat around the bush or sugar coat things. He was able to have a good idea of what was going on before any tests and when the tests came back they just confirmed his original diagnosis. He was able to explain things in a manner that it is easy to understand and took the time to answer any questions I had. He came up with a couple different routes I could take to help my condition and told me his recomendations as to the course we should take. He is the type of doctor that does not want to take extreme measures if unnecessary. I am very satisfied with my experience and will continue to follow the treatment course he gave me. read more

Too often, people are quick with their criticism, and slow with their compliments about a service or product. In catching up, I want to extend an overdue appreciation to Dr. Joseph Grillo. Dr. Grillo takes a personal interest in getting to know his patients, and explaining a route to his assistance to his patients.  He is a good listener, displays attention to detail, is conscientious, and has a high energy level.  Where there is a sense of urgency, he explains this to his patient.  His entire office staff is also outstanding. Dr. Grillo sets the tone. During my last visit, I had the opportunity to also be initially seen by Melody.  She has been with Dr. Grillo for 29-30 years, and was exceptional for my prep with Dr.Grillo. Dr. Grillo and Office Staff are the best. RL read more

Having had surgery on both feet in prior years I've come to recognize the importance of the initial pain and lack of mobility. Recently I couldn't exert any pressure on my heel. I went to see DR. Joseph Grillo, Fort Myers. WOW! This is my kind of doctor. Straight to the point, described the issue and treatment. (I had a strained Achilles tendon). Simple and direct advice, get rid of the 'so-called' support sneakers, wear a compression sock and get the recommended shoe/sneaker to support the foot properly. The result, 3 weeks later I was back to normal! No shots, no try this, or try that! All it took was the one visit and follow-up. And the staff were just as helpful. Gracie Mille read more

As soon as I walked into Dr Grillo's office I felt relaxed and welcome. I had completed most of my new patient paperwork online at their suggestion and it made the check in process quick and easy. I didn't have to wait long and everyone was courteous and friendly. They did the x-rays at this first appointment and were able to diagnose me right away. Dr Grillo went over my options, gave me his professional opinion and I was on my way in no time. He asked if I had any questions and didn't make me feel rushed in any way. I feel confident in taking his suggestions and returning in a few months to see how things are going. Thank you Dr Grillo and staff. Have a fabulous day! Sandi V read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Grillo for a little over a year now. I have had nothing but wonderful care from the moment I walked in the door. The front office staff welcomed me and helped to ease my anxiety from the start. I had a very bad experience and surgery in the past from another Podiatrist who shall remain nameless. Dr. Grillo took everything into consideration when discussing my care plan, including the type of work I do and how it will affect my family. After careful consideration, we decided on a more conservative approach, when other physicians would have had me in surgery the next day. Hats off to Dr. Grillo and his wonderful, caring staff. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Joseph Grillo, Podiatrist, for the last 10 years or so. Dr. Grillo keeps a watchful eye on my feet since I have been a diabetic for over 30 years, and I moved to Fort Myers 11 years ago. During the time that I have been under Dr. Grillo's watchful care, I have found him to be very professional, careful, and thorough in his work. His staff are very courteous, friendly, and extremely helpful. In fact, I feel more like a member of the family than as a patient. Thank you, Dr. Grillo, and the ladies of your office! read more

Dr. Grillo and his staff are wonderful. I have a problem with my foot and they were able to get me in the day after I called. The entire staff in his office are so nice and friendly. Dr. Grillo examined my foot, he was pretty sure what was wrong, but wanted to take x-rays. The x-rays confirmed what he thought was the issue. I left with a boot and a prescription for therapy. Dr. Grillo is trying to avoid having to perform surgery. Also gave me written information describing my condition. read more

Dr. Grillo is terrific -- he had a "less is more" approach that I really appreciated. I went in believing my toenail would have to be removed. He said "let's try cutting it back first and then keep an eye on it." He cut the nail very slowly, a bit at a time, always asking "Is it okay if I cut it some more?" His staff are also excellent. A friendly, well-organized office. read more
