Small, but definitely has everything one would need, including basic to the more extravagant purchases, such as manuka honey and unique blend of spreads for breads and crackers. I enjoyed sifting through the 3-4 aisles within, and I distinctly remember the male cashier being pleasant and friendly, even though I hadn't brought my own bag (mistake). Walking to the Elwood village from anywhere within Elwood is doable. Just put on a good pair of walking shoes, as I made sure to do.
There is something akin to a US Redbox inside, called oovie, if I'm not mistaken. Like $4 USD/night.
I preferred to get my things here, as opposed to a smaller, more $$$ just a few blocks west on same side of street. Elwood village is small; there are a few places that I would have enjoyed patronizing, but just simply no time, and my wallet wasn't 'padded' either. read more
