The current owners do not appear to know the consumer legislation that applies to their business. They would not accept or even discuss the return of a bottle of wine that was spoilt. I returned it to Penfolds who analysed the wine and agreed that it was off, possibly due to poor storage. Unfortunately, we are left being very unhappy with the response from FoodWorks in Albert Park on this occasion. They said they would have to suffer the loss and cost of the wine. They would not answer phone calls, would not put the manager on the phone and the head office has not responded to attempts to address our complaint. We are left thinking about proceeding to Consumer Affairs ... Very unfortunate experience for a local business. read more
