Was my first time here at foodland. Came here after our polynesian tour. Just wanted to get some snacks on the way back to our hotel. Found out that this location did not sale alcohol which was a bummer. There fresh seafood section is already close since its 9pm. We were able to get some snacks. Friendly cashier and quick in and out. Will have to visit other foodland locations.

Another moldy bread. Foodland please do something about your unsanitary bread.

Another moldy bread. Something wrong with you guys. Figure out the problem and stop poisoning people. This the second time this has happened. We're all sick to our stomach. Greed!!!

Loved this supermarket while traveling to Hawaii. They have everything you can need. Love their prepared food and their deserts. I really like their merch too. I picked up some souvenirs and the prices are rather reasonable. I shopped at a few of these markets, you see them everywhere. Staff is friendly always.

This Foodland is convenient for the locals in this community. I stopped in to check them out. Stocked shelves and plenty of hot foods, quick seafood, bakery goods. I was tempted to pick up some poke but we were driving back to Honolulu to eat dinner.

12.16.2o24 We got some poke bowls for lunch. It was quite decent. We did visit a different location later that day and it was not the same. This one was better. I guess that's why my friend said it wasn't good. It could be a hit or miss. I didn't go in to buy the food but I looked at the pictures that was sent to me and they have a pretty good variety.

How in da heck did I end up at the Laie Foodland on a Friday afternoon??? Oh yeah, my coworker was leaving for vacation when all of a sudden he had a service call in Kahuku. Knowing that he was leaving for vacation, I guess he didn't want to run this late service call when he nicely asked me to "help a Bruddah out?" Me, being the good guy that I am, I decided to run out to Kahuku in the early afternoon from town. Of course going to Kahuku on a Friday afternoon ain't the most ideal thing to do, as it took me about an hour & a half to get to Kahuku from town (of course it didn't help that I got stuck in traffic by Schofield, as there was a car accident). Upon finishing up the job in Kahuku, it was almost 4:00 PM and I realized that I hadn't even eaten lunch yet, and that's how I ended up at the Laie Foodland! My original plans when I walked into this Foodland was to get some Salt & Vinegar Wings, but upon getting a bottle of water, I just so happened to walk pass the seafood dept. and saw the poke selection. Nix da wings, a poke bowl sounded good to me, so that's what I ended up getting. When I looked over the poke, I found it pretty hard choosing a poke bowl, as Foodland has a pretty big selection, but at the end, I ended up getting a Spicy Ahi Poke Bowl w/White Rice. Normally I would get Brown Rice (I prefer brown), but the brown rice was still cooking, so white it was! What can I say about my Poke Bowl??? For $6.99 + some change, I must say it was DEALAGES Yo!!! Fresh tasting poke, not overly spicy, but tasty indeed! The serving size was just right! Not too much to put me over da edge, especially since I had to drive a long way to get home. Me no likey end up driving by braille! Lol! If ya haven't been to Foodland lately for a poke bowl, make the time & support local! Oh yeah, and don't forget to check your receipt......if you go to "tellfoodland.com" and fill out the survey, Foodland will give you 200 Maika'i points!

Easy gas station on our drive. 8 pumps. $3.99/gallon, that's expensive. Half a gallon was $27.

When we mentioned we wanted poke, a friend said to check out Foodland. Since it wasn't too far from where we were, we decided to drop by. The four of us got here on Monday, March 4th around 1:30pm. Instead of getting tuna poke, I believe we got two different raw crabs (one spicy and one soy), tako, and scallops. The scallops were my fav. Nice and meaty. The tako had a nice chew, but was overly seasoned. We had octopus from another spot at the same time and I liked how the texture and natural flavor shined through in that one more. The crabs were okay. I'm used to having a korean version the roommate's mom makes and I prefer those much better. These were a little more mellow in flavor. Not a bad spot to hit their raw bar.

Foodland is more than a grocery store; for me, it's a foodie tourist attraction. Macadamia, pineapple, mango, banana, coconut, and all the other tropical fruits abound. Also look for Hawai'ian taro, gobo, takuwan, shrimp chips, fish cake, oxtail, tripe, kalua pork, laulau, butter mochi, Portuguese sausage, poke, and poi. Their poke wins awards every year for quality and freshness. Locals told us the best poke is found right here at Foodland, period. The seafood section is worth a trip of its own, and I love seeing the towers of canned Spam. The "made in Hawai'i" section had everything we needed for souvenirs headed back to the mainland. Those spam musubi shopping bags were just too cute to pass up. Go spend a little bit of time at Foodland before you head back to the Lower 48 (upper 48?) and enjoy the selection and savings. Much better than the ABC Store!

Great selection of food and beach supplies. A bit expensive like all things on the islands, but still cheaper than eating out.

Sometimes I just get a half pound of only poke and eat it by scooping it up with tortilla chips.

It was a yearly thing for us - late Mar through mid-Apr. Fried bananas were awesome too! But then we started seeing produce boxes and packaging that were similar to the ones back home in NY. My kids picked up on it and at first I just brushed it off - No way would they be buying fruit from the grocery store and upcharging tourists. Not these sweet little old ladies. Turns out, that's exactly what they were doing. Fast forward to our most recent trip - April 2nd 2026. Trump's tariffs went into effect and all of a sudden, none of the exotic fruits were to be found. The sweet little old ladies, who btw are all filipinos (not native Hawaiians), claimed that the fruits we've been buying during same time for several years were now out of season! Hmmm..... sus! The only fruits they had were papayas, mangoes, guava and coconut slices. Please beware before shelling out top dollars thinking the fruit at these stands are locally grown! And now the prices for the same plastic bags are $7.

She did find a couple different kinds of banana and bought a couple of each. They had so many amazing things it made for a great place to stop. They were close to closing, so we really didn't get a great look at things. Plus, we were on our way to the beach. I wish I could remember the other thing my wife bought, I just remember she loved it. Since my son likes to get unusual ball caps, he bought one there. I was about to buy one for myself when he bought it, but I couldn't do that to him. An amazing place to stop for fresh fruit.

I have to assume it is based on the CVS website. This is the one and only Longs Drugs Store in Hau'ula. We were here for some drinks after driving from Kahuku Food Truck area. Eating those salty food made us really thirsty. We could stop at the food stands on Kamahameha. Good thing we got to park safely at the parking lot. Everything in the store is CVS branded. It doesn't bother me. Because I know exactly why. And, I don't talk about politics on my Yelp reviews. So there. We were there in the afternoon around the time the school kids were going home. There was only one cashier and dozen of customers waiting to check out. We were on vacation. So, we didn't mind waiting. I found the usual Longs Drugs items at certain aisles by the grocery section. Got some lihing cherries, arare, coconut water and crack seeds. Then, we were on our way back to town. Overall, I thought it was pretty nice place to stop for some quick grabs. I wish we had time to explore the shopping center for some kaukau. Maybe next time. Aloha!
