All products specifically meat and produce are old. Service is horrible with staff that are just angry.

Horrible quality of food. Each year it gets worse. Some examples; bought a five pound bag of potatoes. Started peeling them the evening of purchase. Everyone of them were rotten inside. (not the first time). Eggs must be way past prime. we boil a lot of eggs. The eggs always stand up. If they float very bad. Prime good eggs stay at the bottom. Plus, when frying. The whites will spread far If old. The celery, always old. Doesn't last a day some times. They're sneaky they cut the bottom of the stalk to make it look fresh. It was so bad the celery fell apart and they rubber banded it together. Did find out if you totally wrap it in Reynolds wrap it will last for normal length of time. Sales...things on sale. Rejects. Hot dog rolls not slice in the middle. Less product in the product. The meat is the worse quality. A nice Rib Eye and it looks like nice marble. Price is high as Omaha Steaks buts its a rolled steak very chewy crap. The list goes on. And they are they are the closest. Shame on them. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Food Lion and only went because I didn't feel like making the drive to Harris Teeter from Ocean Pines. The employees were very friendly and helpful. All of the food was very fresh and prices are terrific considering the crazy food inflation going on. Luckily I signed up for their MVP program online before hitting up the store. I ended up saving $23.25 off a $136 purchase bringing my bill down to $112.97. They had all the produce we needed. The organic produce section wasn't very big, but the produce overall was decently stocked and very fresh. I was happy with the meat selection and picked up a bunch of pork products (ham, hot dogs, bacon and pork shoulder.) I'm most impressed by the vegan items and allergy friendly products. My daughter has 10 food allergies (dairy, eggs, sesame, tree nuts, peanuts, peas, lentils, chicken, turkey and fish.) Normally at home, I mainly shop at Aldi but then also have to hit up Wegmans and Target to get enough products that she can safely eat. With the exception of a few items we brought down, I was able to get 90% of her food from Food Lion. And the prices were no more than I'm used to at Aldi. We especially love the vegan FYH mayonnaise, Enjoy Life snacks and Follow Your Heart cheeses. The Follow Your Heart pepper jack cheese is phenomenal for a vegan cheese. If you're in or around Ocean Pines, forget about the drive to HT or savings at Wal Mart and head to Food Lion where you'll get everything you need for a good price. read more

This store is pretty much the only grocery option for Ocean Pines residents and guests. As a grocery store, Food Lion succeeds. Decent selection, fair prices and good service rock the house. The service deli has some great prices on deli meats and cheeses. I bought enough for about a weeks stay in the Pines and shelled out $128 for the honor. No complaints, though, when the Lion has a corner on the Shore grocery market. Recommend. read more

the manager, some short white guy, walked past my boyfriend & said "she needs more make up" talking about me. then he proceeds to walk past me & make the same comment. after all of that we went to check out because clearly this establishment is so unprofessional. then the manager tries to claim we stole afterwards, since he was mad that i made some comments about how unprofessional he is. dont go here if you want your looks judged & to be accused of something thats completely unlike what you would do. read more

The worst experience of getting groceries ever. Was told by the black female at customer service that I need to shut the fuck up. Was chased out of the store and followed by another black female cashier with blue hair to my vehicle. The blue hair cashier shouted black lives matter as she photographed my car and tag. I replied all lives matter. Then a heavy set white female cashier came out yelling black lives matter. I simply left and will never patronize any Food Lion ever. read more

The staff is very friendly and helpful when I'm shopping here. And, yes, it's pretty clean and it's close to were I live. With that said, the produce section has poor quality and selection, as with the deli department. (I guess that's why they ain't got no salad bar) Quite often they don't have what I need to prepare meals, so I have to go to Delaware. The aisles are shaped like a lazy v, which makes it difficult to see the other end of the aisle. That makes it hard to see what is on the shelves, and if you're shopping with someone else and separate, good luck finding each other. They are also a bit overpriced for the quality you receive. Clean. Friendly folks working here. I shop here when I'm in town visiting my dad, because it's the closest market when I'm running low on milk or apples or something. Please, Food Lion, consider carrying Kerrygold butter. Also, please consider carrying a wider variety of full fat yogurts. I'd love you for it. read more

The Food Lion is right across the street from where I'm staying at the beach. It's located in a strip mall that also hosts a variety of other stores; Dunkin Donuts, video store, etc. This place is bright, clean, organized, and the staff was friendly. I found everything I needed quickly and was out of there in no time. I didn't have a Food Lion card (whatever you call it) and they were nice enough to let me use the one they had and get the discounts. read more

I would like to say thank you to all the employees and managers of the Ocean Pines Food lion. They have totally made this whole virus situation bearable. Each time I have been in their store not only are they keeping shelves full for their customers but they are doing it with a smile and courtesy. This Food Lion has the appearance of a high end grocery store. It is definitely clean, and the staff is very friendly. However, the prices are sky high ($6+ for a "1/2 gallon" of ice cream, for example) and the selection of most items is sorely lacking. The Food Lions in Salisbury and the one on Old Ocean City Blvd have somewhat better selections. Definitely go to Super Fresh in West OC or the super Walmart in Berlin instead. I never thought I'd actually recommend that someone should go to a Walmart, but there, I just did. read more

Granted it is a little more expensive than other grocery stores in the area, but the store is spotlessly clean and well run. Staff is helpful and very friendly. Each time I checked out, I was greeted with, "Hello, welcome to Food Lion, I hope you found everything you were looking for!". Selection is about average for a supermarket of this size, I would have liked to see a slightly larger produce department go in when this was built a couple years ago, but that's a small comment. We went here while staying at ocean city on vacation. In order to get the discounted prices you have to use their card. The service desk had a sign on it that had the hours they were open, which technically they should have been open another 2 hours while I was there. When one of the staff asked a manager to send someone to assist me in signing up for a card, the manager refused. read more

I want to love this store but I can't. It is very close by so it's been my go-to since they opened but it consistently the worst part of my day every time I have to go there. It's way too small with way too little selection but the worst part is always the lines. This is nothing new. Yet no one seems able to fix it. I've seen managers come and I've seen managers go and the problem remains. There are lines and lines of people while checkout lanes remain closed. It. Is. Painful. Everyone is angry, people are miserable and no matter how friendly a cashier is, you are still stuck waiting and waiting and waiting. And waiting.
