This was my first rodeo ever and I had a blast! It was such an amazing night, full of laughs, spectacular rodeo riding, and full of friendliness everywhere. The show was jaw-dropping and the skill level of the riders barely allowed me to blink! The music was perfect. It was super family friendly. Great food and drinks. Funny MC's. Customer service on every end was top-notch. From the Chamber of Commerce representatives, the volunteers, the Folsom Police Department, and just everyone in attendance were polite, helpful, and happy to be there. The rodeo clown was hilarious! Moto-Cross riders - WOW!!!! To top it off - the perfect fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day. It was a party for all ages! My kids had the best time and also cannot wait until next year. They want to go to the rodeo every night next year! I would give it 100 stars if there was that option. It was a true celebration of impeccable skills, but more so of our country, our freedom, and bringing us all together in harmony. I highly recommend the Folsom Pro Rodeo. This year they pulled it off within two weeks because they were given the approval late. I thought it was perfect and can only imagine what they would pull together if given more time. I have nothing negative to say, only positives. The whole night was full of smiles and laughter. Such a perfect Saturday night! Looking forward to next year! This may have been my first rodeo, but it is the start of a beautiful friendship!!!! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

First time at the rodeo loved it. First was afraid 7-10 pm would be a long time to spend at the rodeo, but it went by so fast. The program is packed and full of fun. The host was amazing. Here are a few tips. We sat at the corral seating. The show started at 7:30pm. The sunset on our back, unlike the other seats across (cheapest seats) sun will be in your eyes the entire time. Depends where your seats are, you have two entrances, check online for the map. On one of the entrances, you can take free Rodeo picture (printed and emailed picture). A lot of food to choose from and drinks. If you are sitting in the corral seats, you have servers, they bring you drinks and food (awesome). Bathrooms, food and drinks are right behind the seating. Seats - corral - metal like seatings, were not hot but could be - reserved seating - wooden - general (cheapest) - cement So bring whatever seating you prefer. Fireworks This might vary each year. They were in front and behind the corral seats. The problem was that they were to close and the wind blew all the residue into people's eyes. I would suggest putting on your sunglasses. Water You can bring a closed store bought bottled water. Read more in their site fit info. Entrance Opens at 6, I would recommend coming at 6 or latest 7. The queues are very long at the entrance. Parking Park around the neighborhood. When leaving the rodeo expect traffic jam and stall. Park near the gas station.

Had an amazing time with my three kids... Parking wasn't bad before or after. Bought an adorable cowboy hat for $30. Not much to do before or after (unless you are drinking and dancing) so my advice to families is don't come too early, you'll just stand in the sun longer. You can bring in water and snacks, just no containers that have already been opened (including water bottles) the kids loved it, non stop something going on and the Cowboys and girls had them on their feel clapping and excited throughout the evening. Best 4th ever, take the kids!

The show was scheduled to start at 2, but by 2:30 we had only seen one event and were severely overheated. I took my child to stand in line for water, only to learn they were out, but not from the person selling it because I never got to talk to them. We stood in line for 25 minutes and didn't even get to order- there were still 10 people in front of me! Not sure what the wait staff was doing- they only had like 5 drinks to serve and pizza, but somehow they made each order take a really long time. Just ended up leaving, but the walkways were so crowded with families trying to watch the show in just a tiny bit of shade, that we could barely get out. It was a super crowded event at $33/person, they beed to invest in better infrastructure and management. It was an all around awful experience.

Everyone is dressed up in character which really helps make you feel immersed. There are loads of actors and performers all around the place, and tons and tons of shopping to be done. We saw the archery show which was....ok. It was cool to see them competing with each other, but it was literally impossible to tell which arrow belonged to who. My suggestion would be to attack a big colorful string or change the color of the arrows to match each contestant. We were left confused as to who was winning the entire time because of it. Nobody was mic'd either so it really was silent in terms of the arena. Next we saw the jousting show which was really fun. Tons of theatrics, horses, fighting, and crowd work! That was a good time. Then we went to walk around and catch some of the smaller shows. The majority of this Faire was just vendors selling things. I love events like the Oddities and Curiosities Expo which bring in tons of vendors showing off stuff I literally have never seen before, and I have a huge impulsive feeling to buy. I didn't get that once at this faire. Sure there was some cool stuff but it really wasn't anything that I felt like I needed to buy. Some soaps, crystals, swords, books, and disgustingly a stall selling AI artwork. Some vendors really did have some cool stuff like handmade clothing that was too far out of my budget, but I would love if I were rich. Lines were insanely long so we didn't eat or drink anything here, but it looked ok in terms of food. I just wish there were some unique vendors here or other things to do like games and events that you can partake in. Overall it's not a place you're going to spend the entire day at, but it's fun to kill a couple of hours in costume. We'll most likely be back next year, I just wish it was a bit more "wow" like others I've seen.

Since the Spazmatics played on a Friday night, we had to go after work. Omg this event is huge in such a small town and small space. Of course the fair parking lots were full. Just like everyone else we had to drive around and try to find a parking spot some where in town. No clear signs letting us know parking was full until arriving at the lot a person standing near the entrance told us it was full. Then walking back to the fair after we found parking. There were no signs letting everyone walking back up know where an entrance was. Everyone working the fair at the gates and different food vendors were very nice. Seemed like a very welcoming fair. We saw people bringing in their own ice chests. Didn't see anyone getting bag checked. We tried corn dog, steak sandwich, soda cream, deep fried Oreo's! Yummy fair food! Had enough restrooms and easy to find. I saw many drink booths. The Spazmatics of course brought the crowd like they usually do. Just wish more Security was around the stage area. At one point someone jumped up on stage. Security finally showed up about 15 minutes later. By then the man finally got off of the stage. But almost fell trying to get off. The little fencing they had around the base of the stage lighting. Was so dangerous it was plastic and bendable metal rods holding it up on the four corners. We watched a lady fall right onto the metal rods and bend them back. Someone helped her up. I checked to see if she was OK. I was able to bend the rod back into place. But the crowd came back and everyone was holding onto the flimsy rods and knocking over the plastic fencing. No one cut anyone off when ordering alcoholic beverages it showed at the end of the night..this was only around 9:30 pm. We had to cut the night sort to walk back to our car a little after 10 pm. About a 20 minutes walk through a neighborhood. If we go back to this fair I guess we need to arrive very early and make a day of it.
