The lady who owned The Button Tin appeared like Mr Benn just as I took the photo, and proceeded to introduce me to her wonderful world. A fabric designer, she teaches people to sew on the many machines she has inside. There were wonderful parasols and vintage machines. She was working on some hen party stuff too. Great idea for something a bit different. I only got the one pic but I may be back soon so I'll pop in. She has some great ideas to help the building become a hub of design and quirky places. - very cool indeed.

It offers an excellent range of arts and crafts products, with regular offers on products in store. They offer a variety of leaflets giving advice and how-to information. The staff are helpful and only too pleased to help you find what you need. Can be buy especially at weekends, but they are quick to serve you at the tills and open extra when needed. A good tip for people too is many of the craft magazines on sale (cross stitch, papercraft etc.) often have a page or two about hobbycraft with a money off voucher (usually £5 off when you spend over £25) which can be a great help, as long as you like the magazine as they often cost £2.50 - £4

There is a lot of different crafts catered for, from art to sewing and knitting etc. There is quite a few sets for kids as well. The staff are friendly and if struggling to find what you are looking for they are the best people to ask. There is a good section dedicated to weddings as well. It is expensive but where else can you get what you need straight away. If not needing the item straight away the internet could be the best bet to get the best price.
