A good tip for people too is many of the craft magazines on sale (cross stitch, papercraft etc.) often have a page or two about hobbycraft with a money off voucher (usually £5 off when you spend over £25) which can be a great help, as long as you like the magazine as they often cost £2.50 - £4

They have a small menu, with sandwiches and jacket potatoes and cake. They had run out of scones when we were there as they were reserved for those who had booked afternoon tea. So my mum ordered a panini and a slice of cake and I ordered a sandwich and slice of cake. My mum didn't like the coffee, she found it strong, despite asking for more boiled water to be added to her teapot and thought it tasted like cheap coffee from a jar. We both enjoyed our sandwiches (minus the small hair found on my mums plate), and the small salad and bowl of crisps you get with it, which was nice. We enjoyed the homemade chocolate cake, but we were a bit full by that point! We enjoyed the surroundings, it is very 'British' and quaint, they have made a good effort and you can see their vision, but it just needs a bit of polishing and fine tuning. Nevertheless, I would still return and next time I would try and order the afternoon tea in advance. I saw the afternoon tea come out for the table next to us and it looked very impressive. I also look forward to choosing some nice pieces for my home once I move in.

I would definitely recommend Rubies Attic to anyone looking for unique home and gift items, the homemade cakes are a must too.

Yes there is some nice little gifts in here, but i could find things that are just as nice in any other high st card shop and also at a lower price. We don't need another High Street retailler in Doncaster in my opinion. The place is turning into a clone town. This is a modern building that houses various small exhibitions, not to be confused with the Graves Gallery, the city's art gallery, which is located close-by. The Millennium Gallery focuses on some visiting/special exhibits as well as on a few permanent exhibitions, like the "John Ruskin Collection" - a 19th century selection of various crafts and natural history objects, with a few watercolors and paintings thrown in for good measure, that the philosopher John Ruskin collected to create a small museum for the working class of the time, most of them being kept ignorant of history and the arts by the ruling classes. While none of those objects are in any way spectacular, one can well imagine that they must have delighted and astounded their target audience at the time. Then, there's an permanent exhibit on Sheffield's history as a centre of metal and silver manufacturing in the late 18th and 19th centuries. This is actually the most impressive part of this gallery (see photos). Photography is allowed in these permanent exhibitions. The venue is free of charge, and it's bright, modern and friendly, with a long garden gallery that you can sit in and relax from the bustle of the city. There's also a café on the ground floor, as well as a small museum shop on the first.

It's also surrounded by a few nice restaurants and independent cafes, so I imagine it would be quite nice to visit around lunchtime.
