Because of that I expected this place to be super high class, super arrogant stylists and overrated and expensive ... BUT IT'S NOT .. to my surprise. The stylists and assistants are super friendly and professional at their job. (When consulting with stylist Jenny) They're very honest about how they feel about how you want your hair done. They also don't hard sell extra products on you to bump the sale up. I chose to have a stylist cut my hair yesterday. Honestly I thought the experience was going great…read more The lady who did my wash and dry was really nice and was fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English so my mom was chatting with her and everything, ok cool. Then the stylist comes. I believe his name was Jucci (guy with glasses and greyish hair). He asks what kind of cut I want. I told him I just wanted a trim, and showed him I only wanted it 2 inches shorter max. He immediately laughed and told me, that's not a haircut. It pretty much went downhill from that. If anyone wants a TL;DR, this guy was a dick. My mom was trying to chat with him, since my Mandarin is not that good, but then we realized he couldn't speak Mandarin that well. He was being a little prick about it already, like "LOL uhh.. I don't speak Mandarin that well either". Anyways, I ended up telling him I wanted layers, because my hair did originally have long layers. Then he asked me if I wanted it straight at the back or a v shape. I asked for a v shape, not really knowing he was going to chop off almost all of the hair I dyed a few months ago. Ok, fair enough it was a misunderstanding. My mom started looking over to check on me once in awhile, and this guy has the nerve to say "why does your mom keep doing that? It's pretty rude. Do you guys need to be getting somewhere? .. I'll just take my time then". Wow. I didn't really know what to say, this guy can't even respect his elders and will just say whatever is on his mind to his customers. I know I'm around his age but seriously? It got to the point where he finished cutting one side, and saying "If there is a problem, you guys can just leave, free of charge". At this point I also started checking on the length he cut, because I was pretty shocked at how much he was cutting off. He started freaking out at this point too "You asked for layers, I gave you layers!" as if he deserved so much respect for giving me the opportunity of a haircut. Seriously? At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I waited for him to finish the other side, but he was taking his sweet time as mentioned earlier. He literally took 45min to cut my hair, and continue to thin it. I don't mind long haircuts normally, but it started getting annoying to hear his petty comments. It was already too late when he decided he would only cut one side of my hair. Obviously I can't object and have the other side of my hair look ridiculous. In the end he gave me a bob haircut -- really short layers at the top and super thinned out at the back. This is not what I wanted. I know a lot of people can say that I should've brought in a picture or been more specific about what I wanted, but I think it was mostly this guy's horrible attitude that wants me to give this place a 1-star. For a $40 hair cut, you'd expect better service. Luckily, hair always grows back so I'm not too upset by it as of now. I don't think I'll be coming back again.

I walk in and I have a junior stylist not even on their website who does a terrible job and is visibly uncomfortable by curly hair the entire time (also upon looking her up online after... was still practising on straight haired dolls only a few months prior). I sent a message to manager the next day to talk through what happened - and the manager begins to get hostile and tell me her stylist was sad i was unhappy ... does not offer to fix it. After some back and forth agrees to a refund, then has her entire staff block me off of instagram. Incredibly unprofessional.

There was no colour on 90% of my hair I haven't coloured it for two years due to Pregnancy and they still managed to blame it to the 5% balayage left on my hair. They said that oh it was coloured thats why it was DAMAGED but I heard the manager talked to the person and ask why did they left the bleach for TOO LONG. When bleaching was all done, I was trusting the process due to different stylist have their own techniques but the person who coloured my hair admitted that it was her FIRST TIME doing any colour on a customer! Imagine that being said to you during toning time. I asked for an Ash blonde and they turned grey on the bottom and brassy brown on the roots. I showed the picture and it was not even close! I have been doing balayage for more than 10 years. They gave me all different kind of reasons such as having no time left? Why take customers then if you do not have any time? After the first appointment they then proceeded to ask me to come back to fix it. I am now happily rockin my new style and the best part is that I love it because Marjorie took the time to make sure of everything before taking the scissors to the hair! Last week, I decided to get some major length off and wanted to treat myself so I decided to book a haircut. The time and day I wanted, there was only a director's cut available, $65 for cut and wash. Let me tell you, best decision I have ever made for myself and my hair. Originally, I wanted to have a "V" shape at the back of my head because I always knew that was what looked best on me. My stylist Joe suggested that I had a wider V, almost like a U instead because of my face shape. I was in awe with the techniques Joe used on my hair and left very happy. You can tell why Joe had the title "Director" under his belt. The staff there was very friendly and they even made my waiting guest some tea! Worth mentioning, the scalp and neck massage was a bonussssss and much needed during this stressful school time! Will definitely be back again! A week later and I am still in love with my hair and cannot rave enough about this salon.
