Rip-off. Paid these people 175.00 for maintenance 2 years ago. After they performed the "repair" we still heard the noise the fan was making before but it was cooling again because for some reason we trusted this "professional." Come to find out a portion of the compressor was bypassed fan never repaired complete hack job. Now all the parts warranties are expired and I am presented with a 3200.00 repair bill. If you are even remotely considering hiring this company to perform work on your residence think again. Absolute disgrace. If you work for fogel and are reading this expect a lawsuit. Sincerely, Extremely unsatisfied customer. read more

I use Fogel for my preventative maintenance for my home HVAC. It's been three years, 2 services per year for just under $200. They've always been on time, and the rep is proficient and courteous. Being with their PM program gets you priority service should something goes wrong. That was put to the test when my system shut down completely after 9 PM one night. I trouble shot, without success. Next morning I called Fogel. The phone person was pleasant and helpful. They came out same day before 2PM. It was a blown fuse on the circuit board that was tripped by a faulty wire on the compressor. He fixed it, and I had AC. I would highly recommend Fogel. read more

After making yet another call this morning to Fogel Services about our off/on again furnace, we have reluctantly decided to post a public concern. We live in a KHovananian new home development--not yet 2-years-old in Mt. Pleasant. As I was told in one of the many phone calls placed to the Fogel office, our Goodman furnace was subcontracted to be bought and installed by Fogle Services, but they are not "responsible" for making the furnace actually work--only to repair it. The first year everything was good. This winter (2021-22) has been a nightmare. There has been a technician here nearly on a weekly basis for months, and several parts including the zone board and gas igniter have been replaced and work redone in the attic. Each time the technician leaves, the furnace appears to work, and within 24-48 hours it doesn't. The technicians have been friendly and appear to be knowledgeable, and they're always here when they say they will be. It's the furnace that is an outright, contrary lemon! We would like a completely new furnace, but that appears to be an impossibility unless it's a major problem, even though just about everything on it has been worked on or replaced. We're wondering what qualifies as a "major problem"? We're beginning to think Fogel Services is simply waiting for the warranty to run out in a couple of months. After investigating, we now realize Goodman HVAC systems are low cost units that rate below other companies. To be fair, we did place a call to the Goodman Company in Texas and reported our concerns and they issued an extension on the warranty--we think. However, it would seem Fogel must have gotten a good deal on the 30 or so units installed in our neighborhood, and by the way, we are not the only residents who have had issues with the HVAC units. As mentioned, this type of problem should NOT be happening in a relatively new home. It is frustrating, upsetting, and tiresome--and we dread what next winter will be like or how the AC unit will perform this summer! Fogel Services continues to refer us to the Goodman Company and vice versa. In the meantime, our home has been colder than cold on the coldest of days. We'd like to hear from Mr. Fogel, the owner, to know how he would react to having an unreliable furnace in his new home. read more

bad customer service, bad technicians, bad parts, still installing defective parts from 5 years ago stay far away

OUTSTANDING!!! Mark was on time and explained everything that was going on in detail. He showed me why the HVAC was not operating properly and explained how I could remedy it in the future if needs be. A competitor of theirs, ARS, wanted to try to charge me to replace a component that was still under warranty and working properly!!! In addition to labor, an estimate that was approx. $500.00!!! Fogel charged me $65 for their time; well worth the 2nd opinion. read more

Terrible Service!!! The service man came out for preventative cleaning, disconnected my unit, didn't even cut off the breaker and left a live box with disconnected live wires that could have electrocuted someone. He said they didn't do this type of work and left without reconnecting the power. When I had to pay someone else to repair what they did and reconnect the AC, they refused to reimburse me for my bill. Buyer Beware!!!!!! read more

Not impressed, Adam came to my house 7/2/2017 diagnosed a minor leak and suggested we try a charge of R22 to get by for a while, charge 377.50 this fix lasted 2 days!! Had another tech check system on 7/4 and found two small leaks that in his opinion would not have accounted for the system to fail in 2 days. Was given a price of 1500 plus labor to install new coil by Fogel, new company has given me a price of 522.00 plus labor. avoid Fogel read more

Absolutely incompetent!! They sent someone to our house 5 times and kept telling us that my sons bedroom was as hot as an oven because of his mini fridge. We immediately took their recommendation and removed the refrigerator. However, this did nothing to remedy the situation. The 5th time they sent a guy who for the first time actually went into the crawl space. He found something that their company installed upside down during construction. Stay away from this company. read more

Bought a carrier unit from Fogel in 2009. This past January 2016 had to replace the mother board. Yesterday 11/9/2016 turn heat on for the first time to knock the chill out of the air heard a horrible racket. Called fogel to come out and check it. The guy called and said I heard you had a rattling noise in your heater I said yes, ok be there in about 35 mins. He gets here goes to the back yard turns it on heard the noise and says oh yeah that's the enducer, pulls the front cover of the head unit and points to it that needs to be replaced 4 mins to point at what's wrong costs me $85. That's a total rip off. Then he gets me a price to replace it and he says $895.00. I say are you freakin kidding me Oh he says that's part and labor. I asked how much just for the part, he says we don't price it like that our manual only gives pricing for part and labor together. Well that's bullshi t. So I went on line today and found the part through carrier for $288.00. These rip off artist want to charge $ 600.00 for labor. That's gouging the consumer. I'm fucking pissed. Then I look them up and they have a 1 star rating go figure. I'm contacting the better business bureau, all the local news channels to report this. I'm going to do everything I can to put them out of business. Buyer beware. Your going to need heat this winter DON'T CALL THIS COMPANY read more

The guys and gals at Fogel are great! They have done HVAC and work on our home and several of our clients. They even came back to fix an issue with a system they installed years early, on a condo one or our clients bought. Big or small any job is right for Fogel. read more

DONT WORRY BUDDY, I WILL. and I will tell everyone i know not to use you either. read more

PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE BAD REVIEWS!!!! STAY AWAY!!! This company came out a few weeks ago after we had water dripping from our ceiling when the furnace was running. We had never used the company before, but got a quote from them to install 2 new systems in houses we are building, so we decided to try them on our own home. We thought we were going to use them for our installs, THIS VISIT CHANGED THAT and we went with another company! The phone call to their company informed us of their call out fee, which was for diagnostics, $85. We stated that before any work was to be done, we wanted to know of any additional costs so that we could decide our course of action. "No problem, I'll let the tech know!" The technician was here less than one hour, and told us there was nothing wrong with the system, that debris had clogged the drain line, and he had cleared that out. Filling out the check, he informed me that for his "time and materials and stuff, it was $199". I said, this is not the amount that was told to us, and we specifically agreed that any further charges needed to be discussed prior. "It's not in my notes, sorry." We called back the person that we spoke to initially, who told us there wouldn't be any other charges, and she apologized saying "sorry that's our policy, to charge that amount". I can't even begin to understand how lying and over charging is their policy, but so be it. Because we thought we were going to use them for our install jobs, we paid the check, VERY RELUCTANTLY. We immediately began seeking other quotes, and found another company to use. During the very next cold snap though, our ceiling is dripping water again. We called them back, dismayed because we had been told there was nothing wrong with our system. This didn't seem normal for a functioning system. The drain line isn't clogged... "we will have to charge you again to come out, I can't guarantee we can't charge you anything, it could be $127 for us to come out on a weekend". So, we paid a technician an amount we didn't first agree to or know about, blind-sided by this company, all to have him ??? not sure what it was exactly that he did, because apparently there was no clog, there is not water in our pan EITHER time, and the furnace continues to leak water out of the unit itself. I could've pretended to fix my own furnace for free and had a nice dinner at Fratellos or Husk. Whatever you do, don't use this company, they care ZERO for their customers and have ZERO integrity and ZERO repair skills. read more

Trevor came out to assess our system and see why our bedroom was so hot. Fogel is the company that installed the system in our home when the house was built. There were no dampers installed at the time of installation. Alex was out approximately 30 days earlier for a general maintenance call and checked the system and gave us a thumbs up and said everything checked out. Trevor said he did not install dampers, his boss, Brian would send another crew to do that, but, I was low on coolant and the AC needed a charge. It apparently had a leak. I told him to go head and charge it. He charged it for $168. He then tried to sell me on a maintenance plan for $140. I told him I already had a maintenance plan. I had signed up with Alex when he was out 30 days earlier. I asked that he try to find the leak. He said that he could do that but chances were, that he blow the compressor out when he put pressure on the system to find the leak and it would cost me $2,000 to replace the condenser. He would recommend replacing the system. He said he would have his boss, Brian, get ahold of me. I had to call Brian. Brian said he would have a more experienced tech come out and check out the system. He again, sent Trevor out. When Trevor arrived, he began throwing items out of his truck onto my lawn and slamming his truck door back against his truck, obviously having a bad day and pulling the parts to install the dampers that he had originally told me he did not install. I met him at the door and told him to go on. He would not be working on my equipment. If he treated his employer's equipment so badly, I did not want him in my home. I called Brian several times and the next day I finally spoke with him. I agreed to have another tech come out. He sent Marc out. Marc said he did, indeed find the leak. (In less than two minutes). It is in the coils in the attic. It will cost $2,000 to repair or $6,200 to replace the system. He gave me that option in writing. No details as to what system, who will install it, no specifics. I asked for a comparison of a Lennox and he just noted it would be the same. No specifics. He left and left without reconnecting the A/C. I spent the day waiting for him to return to rehook the A/C. Brian was unavailable, out on a call, etc. What is the saying? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Beware of this company. read more

HORRIBLE INSTALLATION & COMMUNICATION - I recently purchased a new HVAC unit from Fogel, and the entire customer experience has been very bad, primarily due to their lack of communication and lack of follow through. I attempted to schedule & confirm schedule date for the installation of the new unit approx 8 times, but never received a return phone call. I was completely unaware if or when the installers would come until they showed up unannounced at my door one morning. The worst part has been the numerous calls I have made to have them to return to repair the damage to one area of my hardwood floor, as well as the horrible re-installation of the attic door that they removed to install the HVAC. I have yet to receive a follow up call to resolve this, and anticipate it will take legal action from my attorney to do so. I can understand the need to remove the attic door, but I questioned the installer (who was an outside contractor--not Fogel employees, as Fogel does not have their own installation crew) to confirm that he and his crew know how to perform this action. He said "yes, we have to do this all the time--you won't be able to tell the difference between before and after". As it turns out they did not have the expertise to reinstall the door, or related trim work. The installers had to borrow nails from me, because they did not have but a few themselves, along with my shop vac to clean up the debris on the floor. Additionally, they did not have trim pieces, paint, cleaning supplies, etc--things that you would need if you "do this all the time". The door frame, has 4 sides, but they only installed 3, causing a safety hazard. They eliminated half of the shims necessary to install the door, causing the staircase frame to lean to one side, and again causing a safety hazard. The trim, along with the grease and fingerprints on the ceiling, door, and frame looks horrible, and reflects the complete inexperience in properly and safely installing an attic door. If you are going to use Fogel be prepared to for the legal action that follows to resolve the damage and mess they create. read more
