I explained to him that I am BRCA1 positive and have grown tumors in my breast. I told him I wanted to do a prophylactic (preventative) mastectomy with nipple sparing because I did not have cancer so I wanted to save my nipples. He said okay great we will do the surgery. The next time I seen him was 1 month later on the day of my surgery. I signed my paperwork that said I was doing a mastectomy & was put under. I woke up with no nipples. I was crying & wondering why. The nurse at the hospital said she will reach out to him right away & she did. Once on the phone he refused to talk to me & didn't even come see me post operation at all. He told the nurse he will explain to me why I have no nipples when he sees me in his office in 2 weeks for my check up appointment. I was & still am devastated. I was depressed & traumatized. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror before I got in the shower for a year. The scars were big & crooked as well. At the appointment he claimed that nipple cancer is very common therefore he removed my nipples when I did not want him to & without my permission. I was shocked & speechless. My plastic surgeon was shocked as well because he knew our plan & when he came into the room to do reconstruction during surgery he said my nipples were gone & he was confused. I underwent many surgeries & they had to make new "nipples" for me. I have also got the areola's tattooed on. It doesn't change the fact that it happened & it still effects me today. I am doing this review & crying. I am doing this review to make people aware of what Dr. Aimaq did to me. It took a long time to get up the courage. If it wasn't for my loving family & Dr. Paul Tran my plastic surgeon I don't know how I would of got through this. If I could of given zero stars I would have for this review. The kind office staff was able to accommodate my initial consultation quickly. (Within a week) and into surgery within 2 weeks. Everything moved quickly! Dr.Toomari diagnosed me with a relatively small epigastric hernia. I explained that I was a physically active person and he offered 2 options: open or robotic surgery. He explained both options and we elected with open, no mesh. It was evident he was the surgeon for the job as you could tell by his explanations, image and confidence that he is highly skilled. The surgery was straight forward, in and out 2hrs outpatient. Physical motion was hard the first 2 days but incrementally became reasonably tolerable by day 3. Because of the incompetent work, I developed cracks in three of those teeth, suffered tremendous pain, and Ditto could not offer any help. After Ditto's horrifyingly incompetent work, most of my teeth had to be refilled, and three required root canals and caps. The original fillings she replaced for thousands of dollars were all good fillings, not cracked or leaking.

Anyhow, we'll see where it goes but it looks like they know what they're doing! The only drawback is - and if you know Encino, you know this already - parking! You can park in Gelson's across the street, or maybe you can find street parking if you're really lucky. But if anyone working at Gelson's sees you using their parking lot when you're visiting one of the neighboring buildings, they will have you towed. I almost got towed one time in a similar situation (not Gelson's but somewhere else.) The parking for LA Orthos is the Hodes Parking structure on the same block as the building and it is $8 per hour. Actually that's cheaper than the going rate nowadays - usually it's $10-15.

When I arrived at the clinic, I provided my MRI results and shared my story. However, the doctor told me that he didn't see any issues on the MRI and claimed everything looked normal. I was surprised and explained that the diagnostic center and two neurologists had confirmed the disc protrusion. He insisted that diagnostic centers can be inaccurate and suggested I get another MRI at their clinic. Naturally, I declined, as my existing MRI clearly showed the problem. When I asked for advice on what to do next, he simply told me to walk more, which seemed inappropriate given my condition. He didn't provide any effective recommendations, just printed out a piece of paper with some exercises. I asked him to assess the extent of nerve damage in my leg, as I had read that a doctor could evaluate this by examining the affected leg's response and comparing its strength to the other leg. I practically had to force him to perform these tests, as he initially just repeated that he didn't see any issues and suggested medications I was already taking, prescribed by other doctors. When I asked why the price had increased, the front office staff member repeatedly said it was "because of the injections I received," without clearly breaking down the cost. When I asked for a detailed explanation, I felt the response was dismissive and a bit rude rather than informative. As a first-time client getting injections on my face, I expected patience and transparency. As for the service itself, I was surprised that the injector did not mark the injection sites beforehand, which I've since learned is common practice. After the injections, I was asked if I noticed a difference--and I honestly did not. An after photo was taken, but it appeared noticeably brighter than the before photo, which made it difficult to clearly compare results. While my skin looked brighter, I did not see any significant change.
