History
Established in 2010.
Michael L. Schneller comes from a long line of hearing healthcare professionals. His father, Lee F. Schneller, started his first hearing clinic in Garden City, Kansas in 1971. At the tender age of six, Michael diagnosed his babysitter with a hearing loss and was instrumental in getting her fitted with hearing aids from his father. As a young child, Michael worked in his father's clinic after school and on weekends, working on, repairing and cleaning hearing aids. As Michael grew older, he traveled with his father to hospitals and retirement communities in southwest Kansas, assisting him in anyway he could. From these experiences, he acquired the passion for helping others. This prompted him to focus his education on assisting people with hearing impairments. The State of Kansas helped pave the way so Michael could expand his studies in California, Minnesota and Florida. He finished his dissertation paper on the stigmatisms of hearing aids in 2001.
