We ate lunch at the cafe, but weren't super impressed by the food. The chipotle chickpeas were bland. The paper menus also didn't match what was actually available at the register. The line to order was quite long, but the wait for the food wasn't the worst. They had lots of seating indoors and a nice outdoor patio with more tables. We walked a few of the trails. Most were unpaved. We managed fine with a stroller, but the paths were a bit rocky. To see several sections, you need to climb stairs so a stroller was not the most convenient. The view of the Hudson, from both the upper and lower terraces, is wonderful and great for taking pictures. It was spring so they had tulips in bloom. Their shady grove of trees was cool to check out. I also loved the upper gardens.

The reason the price was high because every single element of his Art makes people excited. Alexander Calder is the creator of the mobile, inspired by Piet Mondrian and Joan Miro. And the name 'mobile' given by Marcel Duchamp, very famous for the 'Fountain'. Artist Amber Lodman discussed her artistic inspirations and detailed the process of how she creates her beautiful artwork. Ranging from, colorful, bold Harlem Afrocentric pieces to Minimalist Pieces, everything was gorgeous. I said I wanted them framed with easel-style frames so I could stand them on my coffee table. I picked out the frame material and placed a deposit for my order. I picked them up this afternoon, The snapshot was matted and mounted in an 8x10 frame; the larger one in a 10x12 frame. The frames are pretty, but the pictures are dwarfed by them, and it looks as if my coffee table is a shrine to my friends. I wondered why the process was so expensive -- now I know.
