They have a clothing rack by the 2x changing room and 3x distinct photograph rooms…read more Room 1: The main photography room has a pure white background with excellent lighting from the windows. To the right of that in the same room is another place to shoot, where you can bring down the paper background. It's a well-lit room and my favorite room to shoot in. Room 2: This is a smaller room. You can pull down the paper backdrops as well. It's a great place for a small "Youtube" video session, a podcast, or stationary shots since it's tinier. Room #3: This is a themed vintage room (picture is below). There is a typewriter, plush chairs, and an old style telephone. It reminds me of selfie-world NoVa DC. Parking nearby on the weekend is $10 for the parking garage. I wish they had more props for models to use in their photos are play with. They had a few plants on the ground and a white box to sit-on. Even though there was a wide array of personalities and musical styles, they all came together at the very first note. A head bobbing seamless blend of different styles is the essence of FFRD. The saying "Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth," does not apply to Fake Flowers Real Dirt. They live the saying "The more the merrier." They are great band to see live. The audio is great, but the visuals are just as good. I've seen some fantastic outfits worn by, front man, Billy Martin. This is just another way that FFRD stands out from many other bands. These guys are about as good as it gets and more. I caught my first whiff of their multi-talented…read moregroup about a decade ago at the areas largest christmas party at the IMF and they really got those stuffy old conservative bankers swinging like never before. With many changes in costume during the course of the evening and a song playlist about as long as my arm they never ran out of material. The different performers have the ability to inpersonate sounds of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, louie Armstrong, Sammy Davis etc. and they inpersonate those sounds so well that if you close your eyes... I have seen them perform at that venue many years in a row and they never cease to amaze me, and I've seen many groups. These guys are right up there at the top of my lists, very entertaining interactive with the audience and you really see a show everytime with them. They perform for corporate parties, heads of state, private parties, weddings etc.

I've had a good experience at Studio 14's Bandland in Essex, MD for the past year and a half. The…read moremonthly rate for renting the practice room is very reasonable, the space is well maintained, and various requests that we had regarding the practice room were met, which left us very satisfied. For instance, we needed an AC unit for the room, let the owner know, and within a week or two had one in the room. We wanted a lock put on the practice room's door, and that was done promptly, along with getting a set of keys for it. The previous band in the room left the carpet musty, so that was taken out quickly as well. The space is secure and requires key cards to get into the main parking area. We never had any issues with other bands using the space, either. It was hassle-free getting to and from the practice room at any time of the day, and there's even a dope Mexican food place called Vargas that's only 5 minutes away that the band has been frequenting heavily. My one complaint - the soap in the bathroom should be changed more often. For that reason I'd give a 9/10, but I'll round up since we are doing a 5-star scale.
