Brandi Manley was steadfastly professional and accommodating. The Commerce Club package was simple and appropriately priced. The food was so delicious! The view was spectacular! The wait staff was pleasant, courteous and energetic. Brandi embraced and accommodated all of our special customs, including Pittsburgh cookie table in the beautiful wine room and a ceremonial foot washing. She also coordinated so well with all of the other vendors, especially collaborating on the timeline. One thing I would suggest is asking for the blinds to be drawn day of until the event starts as all the windows to help with cooling. This would just make it even better. It was par excellence!

The first thing I discovered when entering the door, is of course the gorgeous brick walls and the high ceilings with the wooden panels - my absolute fave!! It's very natural and there are plants along the wall of the foyer if you want to call it that. As it's an open floor plan. There were two major events going on simultaneously here but the space is big and easily works well. I arrived late but the Yelp Event had already gone to "close" session where we were "inside" a room - tables and chairs for people to sit around, there was also plenty of space for where the food was set-up to one side, and plenty of wall/room space for where the presenters, Pure on Main, had their displays and samples. When our session was completed, it ended at the same time as the other event which involved the soon-to-be entrepreneurs to present their proposals. This was done in many ways so that we could mingle with each other revealing exactly what collaborative space is all about. I didn't get to walk around the whole place but there are clearly private rooms/offices if that's what one needs, and there are shared spaces. Definitely conference rooms, and absolutely gorgeous open spaces that up one level. I was just downtown the night before and had no idea this was here. It's one of the former old textile mills and it's great to see what the building itself has transformed into -- and appropriately showing what Greenville has also transformed into!

During the day they play coffee house music quietly which is wonderful. They have snacks for purchase as well as premium coffee. Something that's nice is that they offer day rentals so you don't have to get a full month if you don't need it, but if you get a membership you can use it at any location - great for travelers! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I loved the decor and will definitely have to look into renting out meeting spaces or the entire lab for a work event.

There's a community fridge, microwave, and sink, along with a coffee area, and the bathrooms even have showers for those who choose to bike commute or work out on lunch breaks. My favorite part of the NEXT center is the art on the walls. The walls are home to senior projects for Governor's School of the Arts and Humanities students. I loved walking around, checking out the art and reading the stories behind the designs. When working here, you're almost across the street from two different pizza restaurants and a biscuit/home cooking restaurant, so you have several options for lunch. A number of places will deliver or cater food here, too.

The contact at Swanson's was easy to work with. The event was affordable and casual yet intimate. We picked the caterer. We hosted this event on December 30th so the colorful string lights felt perfectly festive!
