This Flying J sits on Ross Clark Circle at the big intersection of where 231 and 431 meet. On our trips to the panhandle, Flying J serves as a landmark for us on our journey and signifies we are only about 90 minutes from that pearly white sand of PCB! Over the years it has become a stop for us to stretch our legs for the last stretch of the road or for us to fuel up before we hit 431 for the next few hours. In addition to standard pumps, they also feature tractor trailer pumps as well. And in addition to the pumps and all the normal stuff you find in gas stations, you will also find a Denny's here. We are usually passing through, so we have never eaten at the Denny's. Service is always decent here. Nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible. However, the condition and cleanliness of this location leaves something to be desired. I know it is a busy store given its location, but it needs some work. And even if a refresh isn't coming soon...they can at least have someone on staff to ensure the cleanliness is at least monitored and managed. Overall, in the last few years a few newer and better kept gas stations have popped up in the area and we have started shifting our travel habits to swing in those. However in a pinch or if we are interested in breakfast with a fill up, we would swing by Flying J. read more

disappointed that the rest rooms were filthy, out of soap, paper towels and hand sanitizer. You would think, with the virus going around and the glowing claims they make on their website about all the precautions they are taking that they would take extra care to keep the restrooms clean. As a person who grew up in Dothan, we had always been a passthrough to the beach. I went to college telling people I was from Dothan and so many people would tell me either "I used to go through Dothan every summer on the way to the beach" or "I got pulled over in Dothan on my way to the beach". That being said, during the summer, the traffic at this particular intersection is always much more escalated. When I lived here, this Flying J did not exist. It was something that this particular intersection needed and probably does really well in the summer. But that was 15 years ago now --- And that helps me realize how old I am getting and these grey hairs that I have been growing seem justified. So even though this place is new to me, it is certainly not new in general. We had just finished up a day of packing (speaking of growing grey hairs), we were exhausted, and just dropped off at Goodwill. All we wanted was a fizzy, carbonated, burst of caffeine. This gas station fit the bill. They seemed to have a pretty decent selection on a lot of items. Although I didn't look extensively since we had our selection in mind. The staff was neither friendly nor rude and the process was pretty simple. But they did have buy one get one free candy that we did not partake. For going in to just buy a drink and not pumping gas or using the bathroom, it was an A-ok experience overall. read more

When traveling south to Florida, we usually end up making a pit stop for gas, beverages and of course the bathrooms at Flying J. It's a large, very well maintained and clean facility. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked - which is great since trying to hover with car cramped legs don't always work out. Each time we've been has been pretty late in the day or at night, and I appreciate how well lit the has pumps and store is. They seem to have tons of employees on hand and even if there is a line, it moves fairly quickly. Another reason why we try to stop here is the gas. No doubt, the cheapest in the area for miles. When we stopped by on Memorial Day, regular unleaded was only $2.45/gallon vs. the $2.60+ in PCB and much cheaper than the current $2.75 in Atlanta today. read more

Large parking lot with Denny's and Subway inside. However the girl who took my order over the phone was a little rude and the food wasn't the best I've ever had from Denny's. Next time I stay there I may go to the Waffle House across the street which is within walking distance. read more

I stopped here to grab some chips, headache meds and to use the bathroom. The entire store was very clean and they had a ton of snacks to choose from. I didn't feel like searching all over for headache meds so I asked what isle they were on and the lady behind the counter was able to point me in the right direction exactly. She was very friendly when I checked out too. I'd stop here again when driving through. read more

Don't stop here! 1) they don't let you pay at the pump, you have to take your credit card into the cashier, and LEAVE YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE while you pump just to pay with a credit card. 2) it isn't that nice inside, could be cleaner, and 3) the staff is incompetent. We used to be regular customers at this station, but are going elsewhere now. There are other better, newer stations with more customer friendly policies in the area. read more

This is a pretty solid location. The parking area is huge with plenty of spots if you've got a trailer. The inside has all the required facilities if you're parking for the night: showers, laundry (machines take credit card! ), Dennys, subway, lounge, etc. The staff overall was friendly and efficient. They have a large supply of car/truck accessories. The location is pretty well maintained and has been updated. The only reason why my score isn't higher is because there were nail clippings all over the floor in my shower room, near the sink. I don't understand how you can charge someone for a bathroom that is almost spotless everywhere else but the floor is not swept. I wouldn't say anything if it were just a couple in the corner, but they were all over the floor. Makes you wonder what else didn't get done. #gross read more

Worst customer service in the area. Rude cashiers who will usually ignore you until you force them to pay attention. Attitude for days...so, good price = sorry ass service. I will just go across the street and pay 2 cent more and be appreciated. read more
