This option was very convenient and was a much better cost than either a cab or ride-sharing service. In addition, it was much more convenient than trying to take the train to the airport. It picked us up right at the hotel and took us to the airport in less than an hour, including stops for other passengers. Because of a senior discount, the cost was only 159 NOK, which is about $16 a person. The discount was 50%, so the regular adult price would be $32 USD per person. According to an online search, the rideshare cost, such as Uber would b cost between NOK 720 and NOK 1400, which is $72USD to $144USD, so even with two people, there would be a significant savings using Flybussen. One tip: Be sure to be at the curb when they arrive because they will not check inside the hotel and if no one is waiting, they take off immediately.

He let me off a block from my hotel, about 45 minutes later. The train would be another option which does go faster, but only to the main station - not necessarily more convenient if you have farther to go, as I did. Flybussen is also cheaper by about $6, which will buy you a couple ounces of beer in Oslo :-)

It is easy to book either through the mobile App, or through the easy to navigate kiosks right at the train station. Only thing to note is that the trains are on the outside of the main central station on the back side. We had an early 5:00AM train, and the main train station building doors were not open which panicked us for a second until we saw others walking around the side to find the tracks on the back side where the Flytoget trains are parked including their offices and kiosks.

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell AgaiN.

After several calls and repeatedly explaining the same issue, I finally reached an agent who was able to answer my questions. The aircraft itself was clean, modern, and appeared to be well maintained, while the majority of the cabin crew remained courteous, attentive, and professional despite the demands of a busy flight. However, the onboard environment became less pleasant as the journey continued. Several passengers were disruptive and noisy, and the lavatories gradually became untidy, with wet floors, messy sinks, and a noticeable decline in overall cleanliness. Although I appreciate the professionalism and hard work demonstrated by the flight attendants, the confusing customer service process, disappointing seating experience, and declining cabin cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positive aspects of the trip. Based on this experience, I would be inclined to compare other airlines before booking American Airlines again for a similar journey in the future.
